This document discusses innovation and open innovation. It introduces the ComboSter project, which uses video games and motion detection technology like Kinect for interactive remote physical therapy. Preliminary research suggests ComboSter could revolutionize telemedicine by providing an affordable and easy to use solution for remote rehabilitation. Creation of an idea
 The 2011 IDEX(Spigit) competition on innovation generated a lot of ideas.
ComboSter is one of the fruits of this process.
 What began as a dream to harness the inherent advantages of video game
playing for use in improving a patient’s health, has become a viable solution for
step forward on Telemedicine.
 Finally, ComboSter took shape, and it was defined to be: the development of
video games to answer the specific needs of rehabilitation in
remote, an advanced form of interactive tele-rehabilitation.
