Founding of Stibo Foundation
Stibo Systems’ headquarters are located in Denmark, where it all began more
than 200 years ago in the surroundings of Aarhus. From the very beginning, Stibo
Systems had visionary people who saw the future in a broader perspective –
they’ve welcomed change and have been innovators of new technology and
processes – and that’s the key to our success.
We began as a printing company serving the
Danish Government, the Church and the Royal
family under the name Aarhus Stiftbogtrykkeri –
which later became Stibo A/S. In 1794, 920
Rixdollar was invested in the company, which at
the time was only $322.

The purpose for us has always been to grow. From a
very small organisation 200 years ago to a global
company with 1000+ employees.
By 1880 the total yearly turnover was $7000.
As a company that’s over 200 years old, we’ve
been working with software and with MDM
solutions for decades – and we have no plans of
slowing down anytime soon.

In 1994, we celebrated our 200 year anniversary
in Aarhus. In 2001 we built our state-of-the-art
residence. Currently 300+ Stibo employees are
placed here and we are proud that our building
has won several architectural prizes.
