A thirteen-year-old boy named Justus Von Leibig invented infant formula milk in 1865 to feed babies who didn't have mothers to feed them. Formula milk contains necessary nutrients and minerals that makes the child healthier. It was very easy to use and helped working mothers who couldn't breastfeed their babies. While formula milk has helped many babies and families over the years, there have also been some scandals such as in 2008 in China when over 2000 babies died due to harmful chemicals being mixed into formula milk.
