Students of Business Management (MBA) of Tripura University were taken for
an industrial visit at Greater Noida at manufacturing plant, from 04- 01-2019 to
11-01-2019
The visit was organized with the objective of giving them an insight into the
production and operation processes at the industry and to make them aware
about the connection between the theory taught at the institute and its practical
application.

Purpose of visit
❖ Industrial visits are important for the following reasons:
1. To gain a practical knowledge of the actual working of the organization.
2. To get the practical knowledge of the project development process.
3. To adopt criteria about the management.
4. To study co-ordination between different departments.
•Significance of the Industrial Tour
The basic objective of having industrial tour is for studying various aspects related
with different industrial units. The different techniques and methods being used in
industries are studied in order to gain wide outlook concerning industrial activities for
that purpose.

Anmol Biscuits came into being almost a decade back, when Mr, Bajinath choudhury
initiated the setting up process of the first plant at Kolkata. Anmol which was started
as a single plant now has a strong hold in th highly competitive biscuit market. Under
the guidance of Mr. Bajinath chowdhury and Mr.Bishwanath choudhury, Mr. Dillip
k.Choudhury Mr.Gobind Ram Choudhury . Anmol has succeeded in maintaining the
whole in the market very efficiently.
The visit was organized with the objective of giving an insight into the
production and operation processes at the industry and to make, aware about the
connection between the theory taught at the institute and its practical application.
The visit started with brief information on safety measures taken care at the plant
and an induction video was shown to the students. The students were taken for
the plant visit with the respective plant guides. Informational details were
imparted about the whole production process including the preparation of the
products, formation of biscuits, checking the temperature and finally packaging
and distributing.
After the vast observational learning gained from the plant visit, we gained
useful informative session delivered by the Plant Manager of the industry. The
queries of the students were answered specially by the production manager,
Quality manager ,who had specially come to address the students and satisfy
their inquisitive minds.

C&S Electric Ltd

C&S Electric Located at Greater Noida and was founded in 1966, with a dream to be
a company which plays a vital role in the development of the power infrastructure of
India and makes the “Made in India” label respected the world over.
In the afternoon at 11:00 am we visited to C & S Electric Ltd. We divided
our students into two Group for the visit at plant and the interaction with the industry
person. The Technical Head of C & S Electric Ltd. conducted very informative session
for the students. Also he motivated to the students to select their domain and area of
interest. He also guided on Ring Main Unit (RMU) for transformer protection
technology which is their working technology in which they used SF6 for isolation
and the main advantage is that it occupy less space than other panels. Finally he gave a
brief introduction of C&S Electric Ltd.
The session was concluded with Question- Answer session. Many of the students
asked different questions to the Technical Head on current demanding technologies.
And he cleared all the doubt and myths which was in students mind about the
technologies. All students were satisfied after the session.
Finally, we left the premises at 1.30 p.m. It was an informative, interesting and a
successful visit.

Wipe India Automotive Pvt ltd,Located at Greater Noida, the manufacturer of wiper
blade, linkages, and windscreen washer fluid. The company also a part of a group of
companies who are O.E.M.S to major automobiles manufacturer in india like Maruti,
General motors, Toyota, Telco, VW, Ford manufacturer, the company also maintained
the same quality for replacement market. The product of Wipe India can fit 95% cars
running in India.
The visit started with brief information on safety measures taken care at the plant
and an induction video was shown to the students. The students were taken for
the plant visit with the respective plant guides. Informational details were
imparted about the whole production process including the preparation of the
products,

Global Autotech Ltd has been a pioneer in India in many cutting edge technologies
for precision automotive components.
Global Autotech Ltd has been making high precision machined and tubular parts for
automotive Air Conditioners and its parts are being used in prominent passenger cars
manufactured in India.
The visit started with brief introduction about the industry and the product that they
manufacture at their plant,follow by the safety measure should be taken care at the
time of visiting at the plant,Then the students were devided into two group in equal
number,and were taken at the manufacturing process by the production
manager,during the visit Informational details were imparted about the whole
production process including the preparation of the products,
The day was concluded with the photo session .

History: CNH is the one of the top players worldwide in the agricultural and
construction equipment sectors, CNH Global was created in 1999 through the merger
of New Holland and Case Corporation.In 2013 CNH Industrial was formed following
the merger of Fiat Industrial and CNH Global N.V.
The visit were started with slight snack like Tea.Brief information on safety
measures taken care at the plant and an induction video was shown to the
students. The students were devided into two group an then taking for the plant
visit with the respective plant guides. Informational details were imparted about
the whole production process including the preparation of the products,
formation of genuine products,
The day was concluded with the meal at the plant and the interactive session
with the students and the Head of the industry.

Oerlikon Graziano Industry

Place:Greater Noida
Time:11am- 2pm
Graziano Oerlikon is the world largest supplier of precision gears and shafts for final
reduction components within the agricultural and off-highway vehicle.
The company is also known for supplying transmission and mechatronics for premium
performance cars. Customers
include McLaren, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Audi, Maserati , Alfa Romeo and Aston
Martin, while some Mercedes-AMG models uses Graziano Power Transfer Unit .
Competitors are Germans ZF Friedrichshafen, Getrag and BorgWarner which produce
modules for the Volkswagen DSG gearbox
The session started with brief introduction about Oerlikon Grazizno facilities and
business report in the recent years. The tour was designed to visit only Oerlikon
Graziano factory in specific. The most priority of this division is to control incoming
part flow at highest efficiency so that the least stock the better. Automobile part
incoming management is developed and controlled using Kan-ban system in which
every part box has an individual kan-ban. A kan-ban is basically a small panel of
information such as name, part number, number of parts… of the part storing in the
box. When the part is supplied, its kanban is collected and total of part, which is used,
could be controlled. Next, the assembly production line was introduced where workers
assemble some automotive parts into a vehicle metal frame. This production line
includes many working stations and it is a moving line which a worker travel a short
distance with an assembling part to finish his work. Another worker will continue to
assembly another part at the next working station after the previous work has been
done. In order to make sure the system works smoothly without any mistake or
accident a notification system is applied. When a worker could not make his work
done properly or a mistake has revealed, the worker simply pulls a notifying string to
call his supervisor. A monitor screen will display a message to show which station has
problem and a supervisor would know and come to check immediately while the
production line is still running. In case of a serious mistake or the worker and his

supervisor could not handle, the whole production line will be stopped for a further
investigation at the station. Normally, painting is the most polluted step in automobile
industry since it uses lots of chemicals and emits high polluting gas. In the factory,
friend-eco technology is one of the top priorities and the company tried its best to
apply new technology to this step so that pollution is minimized. The so-called 3-wet
procedure is introduced. By applying this technique, number of drying time.
Through this event, we could feel the atmosphere of Graziano Oerlikon, which
is the spirits of decreasing human errors and creating high-quality products.

Personal Experience
The industrial tour was the interface between the college life and the corporate world.
All those who attended experienced the moment. It was clear that all the basic and
fundamental of each subjects and Management tactic should be learnt thoroughly.
students learnt how production process works, what are the current Scenario of
Market, which management tactic should be selected for career. They told us what the
needs of the management, what they are expecting from us as the freshers. They
guided us how to prepare for the corporate world after completing education.
Conclusion
The experience of this tour was really fantastic and unforgettable. It was reverberating
experience which cherished all of us. I got valuable information from this industrial
tour and they guided us how to stand in the corporate world in the era of competition. I
got to learn a lot many more things from this tour.
