Outcome:

Objective:
●Deepen the India-Africa strategic partnership to promote sustainable
development.
●Implement the outcomes of the First India-Africa Forum Summit, the two
sides have jointly developed this Plan of Action, with a view to implementing
the thematic areas that are contained in the Framework for Cooperation.
Outcome:
The Indian Government’s announcement of about US$ 8 billion as Line of
Credit to Africa for various sectors in infrastructure development, sustainable
growth and agro-processing units is an initiative, which identifies Africa s‟
requirement for self sufficiency.

6. The India-Africa Summit, which was scheduled to be attended by 53
countries in December 2014 in Gurgaon, was cancelled due to
Ebola outbreak in Africa - UN Security Council declared the Ebola
as a "threat to international peace and security”.

1. Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, Mali President invited Modi to visit his country and sought
India’s assistance in countering terrorism in the country.
2. Somalian president praised Indian Navy’s role in curbing piracy, and sought India’s
cooperation in counter-terrorist activities. Modi offered to send counter-terrorism experts
if need arises.
3. Manuel Domingos Vicente, Angola’s Vice-President invited India to do diamond
business with his country.
4. Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Egyptian president declared release of two Indians, as a goodwill
gesture, under the transfer of sentenced persons agreement between the two countries.
5. He further invited more joint ventures in his country from Indian investors. He referred
