The goal of this project was to demonstrate my ability to use Adobe Indesign. I mainly focused on the illustrations, all of which were created by myself using Adobe Illustrator.

1. The Tortoise
and the Hare

2. T here once was a speedy hare who
bragged about how fast he could run.
Tired of hearing him boast, Slow and
Steady, the tortoise, challenged him to a race.

3. Hare ran down the
road for a while and
then paused to rest.
He looked back at
Slow and Steady and
cried out, “How do
you expect to win
this race when you
are walking along
at your slow, slow
pace?”

4. After running a bit
down the road, Hare
stretched himself out
alongside the path and
fell asleep, thinking,
“There is plenty of time
to relax.”

5. Slow and Steady walked and walked. Eventually,
he passed the Hare. He kept on going and never,
ever stopped until he came to the finish line.

6. The other animals cheered so loudly for Slow
and Steady, they woke up Hare from his nap.

7. Hare stretched and
yawned and quickly
began to run again
as fast as he could to
catch up. He dashed
up the road, but it was
too late. The tortoise
had already made it
across the finish line.

8. Once he crossed
the line, Hare then
congratulated his
friend. After that
day, Hare always
reminded himself,
“Don’t brag about
your speedy pace,
for Slow and Steady
won the race!”
