1) Students at Dr. K. B. Hedgewar High School started a "Save Power to Save Environment" project to raise awareness about conserving electricity. 2) They gave presentations on the importance of saving electricity and created posters to educate their classmates. Each class selected an ambassador to track monthly electricity usage. 3) In their first month, August 2013, the students were able to collectively save 661 units of electricity through reducing their usage. All 603 students at the school are now participating in the year-long project.

2. • As we all know that Electricity is the non
conservable source of energy and to generate
electricity a lot of harm is caused to the
environment directly or indirectly. Still we
see people wasting electricity.

Students identified this problem and they tried
sharing a bit in saving the environment

5. During the morning assembly, the team
members showed videos on the importance of
electricity and how to save it

batch

8. They selected one Class Ambassador from each
class. Explained them about their project.

9. The class ambassadors explained the other
students on how to maintain the record of the
units saved for each month

12. The students were able to save 661 units of
electricity for the month of August 2013.
All the students in the school are trying in saving
electricity, but due to the irregularity in issue of
the electricity bills, not all students, could submit
the records .
All 603 students are participating in the project and
have to compulsorily submit the record of the
month wise consumption of power units at the end
of the academic year.
The school has decided to carry on with this project
through out the year and reward the students, who
save, the maximum number of units.
