In Vivo leadership develops humane, ethical responses
1. In Vivo: towards humane, ethical& responsive leadership
The “In Vivo” leadership program fits within the integrated offer on management and leadership
development of the FPS P&O and it aims of developing humane, ethical & responsive leadership
throughout the entire federal administration
In order to really face current and future challenges, the role and the mission of “Ethical &
responsive Leadership” is to go beyond “pure” competence management (getting rid of the
shortcomings) and talent management (enhancing the qualities).
Its’goal isto increase the change capacityof the organizationsbydevelopingkeypersons being able
through the existence of a transversal leverage effect to provoke a sustainable profound culture
change withinthe federal administrationtowardsahumane andsolutionorientedapproach which is
stimulating and building relationships. .
Thisis onlypossibleif development is profound & durable. It’s not the changed idea about oneself
that matters but the way in which you wisely (beyond abstract knowledge towards embodied
questioning,exploring&understanding) &compassionately(beyondcoldnarcissism,cynicism&fear
towards vulnerable heartfullness) bear witness (beyond sleep’running’ towards pausing & really
paying open, non-judging attention to the present moment) & respond (instead of automatically
react) to yourself & others.
The In Vivo compass shows the some of the most important ingredients for our experiential (way
beyond narrative) learning approach.
In the past 7 years more than 600 “key persons”belongingto50 different federal organizationshave
beenaccompanied inone of our learning tracks(Vitruvius:20days, Peercoaching: 7 days, Individual
coaching: 3 days; Mindful leadership: 3 days). All of our participants are encouraged in making a
positive cultural change within their own organisations which has led to many tailor-made culture
transformationprojectswiththe helpof the In Vivo-team & far more important to countless, small,
daily informal acts of organizational peace-making.
