PEACE CAN’T GROW MAGICALLY, FARMERS ARE NEEDED TO HELP IT GROW BY FIGHTING AGAINST INJUSTICE AND RISKING THEIR OWN LIVES. ALTHOUGH, THERE CAN BE “WOODPECKERS” THAT CUT DOWN PEACE. SO NOW, WE WILL TALK ABOUT NOTORIOUS PEOPLE THAT HAVE HELPED KEEP PEACE OR THAT HAVE DESTROYED IT. PLEASE, DON’T DO THIS AT HOME, FOLLOW THE GOOD EXAMPLES.
GANDHI <1869-1948>
Political and spiritual leader of India and the Indian independence movement. Gandhi practised and supported non-violence and truth, even in the most extreme situations. led India to independence and inspired movements for civil rights and freedom across the world.
THIS GENTLEMAN WAS GANDHI
PINOCHET <1915-2006> President of Chile from 1974 to 1990
He repressed civil liberties and became the leader of Chile, killing people that didn’t support him. When he died, in December 2006, around 300 criminal charges were still pending against him in Chile for human rights abuses (torture, forced disappearance, assassination, tax evasion…).

ADOLF HITLER <1889-1945>
He was a veg and ecologist, he created laws to punish the animals’ mistreatment. He  obtained the power during the period of crisis of Germany after the First World war. He started the Second World War because of his plans. During the Second World War, he killed more than dozen million of people, including Jews (he killed about 6 million between ghettos, concentration camps, experiments…).

LUTHER KING <1929-1968>
He organized massive demonstrations, boycotts, protests and other non-violent acts that worked for civil rights and an equal society in which black and white people could live together in peace. His most famous speech: “I have a dream” was given in 1963 in front of the Lincoln Memorial. He was killed in 1968 by James Earl Ray (a white racist). In his tomb it is written: “Free at last”.
 
YOSIF STALIN <1879-1953>
His father was an alcoholic that used to hit his mother and him. He was sent many times to Siberia because of his position against the Zar and its government. When it was the time to vote to see who would be the new leader after Lenin, he manipulated information, killed people, lied…
During his government, about 20-60 million of people were killed. And during the WWII his strategic orders were the worst he could take (if he would have done what his generals asked him, millions of soldiers never wouldn’t have died).
And he also killed his own soldiers, he made a law that established that soldiers that got back in their positions had to be killed by their own war commissaries. Nazis took his son and wanted to exchange him for a German general, but he never did it, he let his son at his own.
