This document consists of daily reflections on various topics from the period of April 1st to April 30th. Each reflection is 1-2 sentences exploring themes like joy, nature, sadness, things, confusion, soul, wound, and more. The reflections focus on spiritual practice and celebrating life.
This document discusses how to heal a broken heart and live a fulfilling life. It states that people are born whole and free, and have a birthright to five elements of success: joyful self-expression, vibrant health, valid education, loving relationships, and joyful service. However, many people's hearts become broken, leading to issues like lack of courage, poor health, low education levels, high divorce rates, and failed businesses. It argues that the solution is to forgive, choose to be all-in on life, and use the five elements of success as a compass to find one's true north of living in joy. The document encourages taking the next step to heal one's broken heart.

Revelation Week 8 - The Wine of God's WrathJR. Forasteros
This week explores what God's wrath looks like according to Revelation chapters 14-15. The podcast can be found at http://jrforasteros.com/podcasts/revelation-to-john/
The document discusses the nature of God's love versus God's wrath. It argues that God is purely love by nature, and that references to God's "wrath" in the Bible are misinterpretations and actually refer to God intensely reaching out to unbelievers with his love. The document asserts that hell is a place where God's presence and love are experienced intensely by those who have rejected him, not a place of God's anger or punishment. It aims to reconcile the concepts of God's love and wrath by interpreting wrath as an expression of his passionate love for all people.
God's wrath is His righteous response to unrighteousness and His ultimate expression of justice. It is likened to fire and God's vengeance will be poured out against His adversaries. The passages reveal that God alone has power over life and death, and He will repay those who hate Him. It will be terrifying to experience the wrath of the living God. God's wrath is revealed from heaven against ungodliness and those who suppress the truth.
This document summarizes the key passages from Luke 21:5-38 about signs of the end times. It discusses five major topics covered in the passages: warnings against deception, encouragement during persecution, the destruction of Jerusalem, future events, and assurances concerning these events. It also lists nine exhortations that Jesus gives about how people should respond during these times.
Technology is rapidly changing our world and way of life similar to how the Industrial Revolution changed society over the course of a century but compressed into just 15 years. Schools need to focus on teaching skills like creativity, collaboration, problem-solving and digital literacy that will help students thrive in this changing environment rather than skills only relevant to the industrial age. Educational institutions will need to change and adapt more quickly to remain relevant as technology continues to progress and change society.
The document summarizes key points from the book of Nahum in the Bible. It discusses (1) how Nahum addresses God's wrath and anger, which are difficult concepts for people to accept, (2) the background of Nahum and God's promises to destroy Israel's enemies including Assyria, and (3) how God's anger is described as terrible, personal, thorough, and irresistible in destroying Nineveh as prophesied. The overall message is that both God's love and wrath are real, and individuals should trust in God alone to avoid experiencing His wrath.
This short prayer document recognizes Jesus as a teacher who performs miracles from God and asks Jesus for knowledge and wisdom so that students can serve God well. It references a biblical verse stating that no one can do the miracles Jesus does unless God is with them and recognizes all knowledge comes from God through Jesus. The document closes with "Amen".
The document discusses the benefits of exercise for mental health. Regular physical activity can help reduce anxiety and depression and improve mood and cognitive functioning. Exercise causes chemical changes in the brain that may help protect against mental illness and improve symptoms.
This document discusses Jesus' teachings in Matthew 18 about the value of individual people. It outlines three main truths from the chapter: 1) Each person is God's child and valued by Him, 2) Believers should show personal care, responsibility and forgiveness towards others, and 3) When believers unite in prayer and purpose, Christ promises His presence and authority. The document then explores five affirmations of an individual's worth from the passage, and five expressions of how believers should love others as God loves each person.
This document discusses how Jesus' birth brought light into darkness and was a gift given out of love to satisfy human needs. It references biblical passages describing how Jesus, as the Word, brought life and light to humanity. His name, Immanuel, means "God with us", reflecting that through Jesus, God came into the world and into people's lives to offer a new beginning, hope, and eternal life, not condemnation.
This document provides information from Ray Gebauer's book on how to add years to one's life rather than subtract years according to biblical teachings. It discusses how God warns of his judgment for those who do not heed his commands to care for their health and bodies. It references several bible passages about God destroying those who destroy their bodies or do not listen to warnings. The document aims to serve as a warning to readers about living wisely and avoiding behaviors that can lead to early death and suffering.
Jesus' teachings have continued to be a source of great learning, debate and controversy. When he taught people were both amazed and intrigued by the authority with which he spoke. Listen to his words as he speak of life and hope into your life.
This document provides an introduction to basic eschatology by outlining three major views - premillennialism, postmillennialism, and amillennialism. It focuses on explaining the premillennial pre-tribulation view, which believes that Christ will return before a future seven-year tribulation period to rapture the church, allowing for a literal 1,000 year millennial reign on earth. Key events like the tribulation, millennium, and rapture are described from the perspective of this view. Challenges with alternative postmillennial and amillennial views are also briefly discussed. The document aims to introduce these major eschatological doctrines and the biblical justifications for the premill

The universe began approximately 15 billion years ago with the Big Bang. Over billions of years, stars, galaxies and planets formed from condensing matter. Approximately 3.5 billion years ago, life began on Earth either through complex chemical reactions or meteors delivering necessary ingredients. Early life was simple single-celled organisms that evolved over millions of years into more complex multicellular organisms like plants, fish, reptiles, mammals and eventually human life beginning around 3 million years ago. The document suggests creation belongs to God and all of creation is blessed through God's compassionate rule.
While witnessing in a square a couple of weeks ago, I came across two Christian ladies who asked me how I am able to do what I was doing (witnessing in a hostile environment); as they found that environment not conducive to witness in. So I told them some practical things to do `before coming out there, like prayer and fasting (if they can); but MORE IMPORTANTLY I told them a story of an incidence the Lord used to impress in my heart the priceless significance of a good conscience: and need for us is to continually seek the Lord for a GOOD CONSCIENCE so as to have a USEFUL HEART
Veil Rent - The Significance For Us? Boldness to “enter in”
Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh. (Hebrews 10:19-20)
Here we have the answer to the question we have always asked: “what do I need to do to go near to God”?
Answer being: Boldness to “enter in”
Yes, the Confidence, self-assurance, nerve, cheek, audaciousness to enter into the very presence of God without the fear of dying there; we can no more die there, since Jesus Christ has died in our place; made eternal life guaranteed for us. Our boldness is based on the perfection of His sacrifice of which He said:
“IT IS FINISHED”
so:
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. (Proverbs 4:23)
Confront in love | A Sermon on Matthew 18:15-20Steve Thomason
The document discusses rules for engaging in conflict based on Matthew 18:15-20. It outlines six rules: 1) Seek to restore, not revile; 2) Start privately, not publicly; 3) Stay in community; 4) Don't compromise standards; 5) Grieve lost intimacy but pursue restoration; 6) Be Jesus to the world. The rules are meant to provide guidance for resolving conflicts and disagreements within a community in a loving manner.
Oscar recalls the past five years of suffering since the Japanese invaded his home. He watched helplessly as his father was arrested and later found hanging dead. His mother became invalid and they lived in hiding until she was killed by bombs. Oscar was left blind and begging. Despite his cries for vengeance after each family member's death, his mother's final words reminded him that vengeance belongs to God, not man.
Julian Tenison Woods was a 19th century Australian priest, scientist, and ecologist born in London in 1832 who immigrated to Australia in 1855. He was ordained as a bishop and co-founded the Sisters of St. Joseph order. Woods found God in all of creation and nature, and made detailed observations of the natural world through his scientific studies of geology, botany and zoology. He taught that humans have a responsibility to care for the earth and all life upon it as sacred parts of God's creation.
The document discusses the topic of eschatology, which traditionally concerns ideas about the end of the world and what will happen after death. It notes that eschatology in the Bible is more fundamental than just future events, as through the Holy Spirit believers can begin living in the new life brought by Jesus Christ. The document then examines key points about eschatology, including that Jesus' work was eschatological in nature and defeated evil, and that while God brings the new reality, He has chosen to do so through our choices and actions.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375
