Learn what God says about how to STOP
SUBTRACTING years from your life and
instead, start ADDING years to your life,
so that the rest of your life can be the
best of your life
By Ray Gebauer September 2012

This book is based on the Bible, and partially based on my previous books, How to Cure and Prevent
Any Disease (Copyright 1999), and Healing in Your Pocket (Copyright 2004, revised November
2011) and The Single Cause and Cure for Any Health Condition (Copyright 2006)
Praise for How to Cure and Prevent Any Disease
“An excellent, well written practical resource.”
Blaine S. Purcell, M.D. Diplomate, American Board of Internal Medicine and
American Board of Anti-Aging Medicine.
“Using the advice in this book can best prepare you to live a long, healthful life.
There’s too much at stake to not share it with everyone you care about!”
Darryl See, M.D., Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine, World Health
Organization
“It is difficult in a few words to convey the importance of the concepts that Ray
Gebauer has presented in this remarkable book.”
Michael D. Schlacter, M.D., Board Certified Internal Medicine and
Pulmonary Disease Clinical Instructor, University of Nevada School of
Medicine
“My father once said to my brother and I, ‘If you want to know the answer, ask the
man who knows.’ Ray Gebauer is a man who knows. He is always finding innovative
and exciting ways to share his knowledge. God has blessed him with the gifts of
help and discernment as well as giving. Ray’s new book will be a tremendous help
and blessing to those who read it and use it in their lives.”

 Do you want to be happy, healthy and wise?
 Do you want to avoid decay, disease, destruction and early death and
suffering that comes from doing what most people do?
 Do you want to STOP SUBTRACTING years from your life and START ADDING
years to your life instead?
If your answer is yes, then I wrote this article for you!
I invite and urge you to please accept what I share in this article as a precious
life-saving gift that can enrich and extend your life.
Why have I written this short e-book? It’s because I am on a mission, and
believe that the Father has anointed me to be a “Watchman” or “Lifeguard”
for you and others “who have ears to hear,” based on numerous passages
such as these:
Rescue those being led away to death;
hold back those staggering toward slaughter.
12
If you say, “But we knew nothing about this,”
does not he who weighs the heart perceive it?
Does not he who guards your life know it?
Will he not repay everyone according to what they have done? Proverbs 24:11-12
At the end of seven days the word of Yehovah (LORD) came to me:
17
“Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word
I speak and give them warning from me. 18
When I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely
die,’ and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order
5
to save their life, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you
accountable for their blood.
19
But if you do warn the wicked person and they do not turn from their wickedness or from
their evil ways, they will die for their sin; but you will have saved yourself.
20
“Again, when a righteous person turns from their righteousness and does evil, and I put a
stumbling block before them, they will die. Since you did not warn them, they will die for
their sin. The righteous things that person did will not be remembered, and I will hold you
accountable for their blood.
21
But if you do warn the righteous person not to sin and they do not sin, they will surely
live because they took warning, and you will have saved yourself.” Ezekiel 3:16-21
The Spirit of the Lord Yehovah (LORD) is on me,
because Yehovah (LORD) has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,
2
to proclaim the year of Yehovah’s (LORD’s) favor
AND the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes,
the oil of joy instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. Isaiah 61:1-3
(This was written about Isaiah, as well as prophetically about Jesus, later fulfilled by him as God’s
Anointed, and applies to myself and all true believers as well)
If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone
serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be
praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.

path that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.”

Thus says the LORD,
“Stand by the ways and see and ask for the ancient paths,
Where the good way is, and walk in it;
And you will find rest for your souls.
But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’
17
“And I set watchmen over you, saying,
‘Listen to the sound of the trumpet!’
But they said, ‘We will not listen.’
18
“Therefore hear, O nations,
And know, O congregation, what is among them.

The High Cost of being a FOOL
8
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a
wise man who built his house on the rock. 25
The rain came down, the streams rose, and
the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation
on the rock. 26
But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into
practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27
The rain came down, the
streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great
crash.” Matthew 7:24-27.

“Fear Yehovah (LORD) your God, to keep all His statutes and His commandments all the
days of your life, and that your days may be PROLONGED.” Deut. 6:2
In those days Hezekiah became mortally ill. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came
to him and said to him, “Thus says Yehovah (the LORD), ‘Set your house in order, for you
shall die and not live.’” 2
Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the
Yehovah, 3
and said, “Remember now, Yehovah, I beseech You, how I have walked before
You in truth and with a whole heart, and have done what is good in Your sight.” And
Hezekiah wept bitterly.
4
Then the word of Yehovah came to Isaiah, saying, 5
“Go and say to Hezekiah, ‘Thus says
the Yehovah, the God of your father David, “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your
tears; behold, I will add fifteen years to your life.” Isaiah 38:1-5 (this story is repeated
in II Kings 20 and II Chron. 32).

Setting Myself Up for Judgment
“Don’t you know that you are a temple of God and that the spirit of God dwells in

for the temple of God is holy and that is what you are.” I Corinthians 3:16-17

God the “Destroyer”
11
God is a righteous judge, a God who displays his wrath (anger) every day.
12
If He (God) does not change His mind (relent), He will sharpen His sword; He will bend
and string His bow. 13
He has prepared His deadly weapons; He makes ready His flaming
arrows.” Psalm 7:11-13.
“Don’t you know that you are a temple of God and that the spirit of God dwells in

“If anyone knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.” James

"Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act." Proverbs
3:27
Would a Loving God Kill You?
“Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who
is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna”. Matthew 10:28
27
Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner,
shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord. 28
But a man must examine himself,
and in so doing he is to eat of the bread and drink of the cup. 29
For he who eats and
drinks, eats and drinks judgment to himself if he does not judge the body rightly. 30
For this
reason many among you are weak and sick, and a number sleep (i.e. die). 31
But if we
judged ourselves rightly, we would not be judged. 32
But when we are judged, we are
disciplined by the Lord so that we will not be condemned along with the world.” I
Corinthians 11:27-32.
 Weakness
 Sickness
 Death (“sleep”)
“If you are not careful to observe all the words of this law which are written in this book, to
fear this honored and awesome name, Yehovah (LORD) your God, 59
then Yehovah (LORD)
15
will bring extraordinary plagues on you and your descendants, even severe and lasting
plagues, and miserable and chronic sicknesses. 60
He will bring back on you all the diseases
of Egypt of which you were afraid, and they will cling to you. 61
Also every sickness and
every plague which, not written in the book of this law, Yehovah (LORD) will bring on you
until you are destroyed…. 63
It shall come about that as Yehovah (LORD) delighted over you
to prosper you, and multiply you, so Yehovah (LORD) will delight over you to make you
perish and destroy you. Deut. 28:58-63.
“So also I will make you sick, striking you down, ruining you because of your
sins.” Micah 6:13
Other Examples of Warnings of God’s Judgment on us
“If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they
gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned.” John 15:6.
For I do not want you to be ignorant of the fact, brothers and sisters, that our ancestors
were all under the cloud and that they all passed through the sea. 2
They were all baptized
into Moses in the cloud and in the sea. 3
They all ate the same spiritual food 4
and drank the
same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and
that rock was Christ. 5
Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them; their bodies
were scattered in the wilderness.
6
Now these things occurred as examples to keep us from setting our hearts on evil things
as they did. 7
Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written: “The people sat
down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry.” 8
We should not commit sexual
immorality, as some of them did—and in one day twenty-three thousand of them died. 9
We
should not test Christ, as some of them did—and were killed by snakes. 10
And do not
grumble, as some of them did —and were killed by the destroying angel.
11
These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us,
on whom the culmination of the ages has come.
12
So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall!” I Cor. 10:1-12
16
26
If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no
sacrifice for sins is left, 27
but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that
will consume the adversaries of God (we become adversaries when of God when we persist in
sin).
28
Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or
three witnesses. 29
How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be
punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing
the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?
30
For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will
judge His people.” 31
It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
“But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks
back.”
39
But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have
faith and are saved.” Hebrews 10:26-39
“work out our salvation with fear and trembling”
(Phil. 2:12). “triumph over
judgment” (James 2:13
The Illusion of Safety or Immunity
(“I am the vine, you are the
branches…”), (“If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch
that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and
burned”)
17
“The devil led him (Jesus) to Jerusalem and had him stand on the highest point of the
temple.
“If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down from here. 10
For it is written:
“‘He will command his angels concerning you to guard you carefully; 11
they will lift you up
in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’ ”
Jesus answered, “It is said: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’ ” Luke 4:9-12

The Myth that How Long I Live is Predetermined

Healthy lifestyle behaviors in old age ADD half a decade to life span
"Engaging in health-promoting lifestyle behaviors during one's golden years can result in a longer life,
even among the very old, according to research described online on August 30 in the British Medical
Journal (www.BMJ.com).
"Studies have shown that lifestyle factors such as smoking, alcohol consumption, and body weight
(both underweight and overweight), can predict mortality in elderly people," Debora Rizzuto, PhD and
her colleagues at Sweden's Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm write.
The study included 1,810 men and women who were at least 75 years old participating in the
Kungsholmen Project, a longitudinal study on dementia and aging. Interviews conducted upon
enrollment obtained information concerning the participants' smoking status, alcohol intake, leisure
activities, social networks, chronic diseases and other factors. The group was followed for 18 years,
during which 91.8 percent died.
Half of the participants survived longer than 90 years of age. Not surprisingly, women and
nonsmokers lived longer than men and current smokers. Subjects who regularly engaged in physical
activity lived a median of two years longer than those who did not, and those who consumed alcohol
lived a median of 1.3 years more than those who were never drinkers.
Men and women who had a low risk profile, characterized by healthy lifestyle behaviors,
participation in one or more leisure activities and having a rich social network (defined as living with a
spouse, being in regular contact with children, and having daily to weekly contact with relatives and
friends) or a moderate social network (defined as having two of the three elements of a rich social
network) lived a median of 5.4 years longer than those who had a high risk profile that included
none of these factors.
When the subjects were analyzed according to gender, men with a low risk profile lived a median
of six years longer and women five years longer in comparison with those who had a high risk
profile.
20
And in an analysis of those 85 years of age or more, a low risk profile still conferred a median age of
death that was 4.7 years older than that of subjects with a high risk profile.”
The Myth that “This must be God’s Will”
(“Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as
it is in heaven”).
The Myth that “God will Heal Me if I Have Faith”
21
“
And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson and
Jephthah, about David and Samuel and the prophets, 33
who through faith conquered
kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised….
There were others who were tortured, refusing to be released so that they might gain an
even better resurrection. 36
Some faced jeers and flogging, and even chains and
imprisonment. 37
They were put to death by stoning;[e]
they were sawed in two; they were
killed by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted
and mistreated— 38
the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and
mountains, living in caves and in holes in the ground.
These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been
promised, 40
since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us
would they be made complete.” Hebrews 11:32-40.
“What Must I Do to be Saved?”
ADMIT to God and yourself that you are sinner specifically in the arena of health,
in defiling and destroying your body by an unhealthy lifestyle and are in jeopardy
of His judgment according to I Cor. 3:16-17.
REPENT—turn away from your sin of defiling God’s temple. Change your thinking
so as to change your behavior.
22
BELIEVE IN AND RECEIVE the good news, which is the solution to the problem of
sin and judgment in regards to defiling and destroying God’s temple. The solution
is not merely making some adjustments or going on a diet—it’s a healthy lifestyle
that honors God and His temple.
COMMIT to making the changes you need to make, from being “a fool” in the area
of health to being wise in how you honor God’s temple.
LIVE, by the grace/power of God, for His glory and your good, a healthy lifestyle
that honors God and honors His temple (our body) as consistently as you can. A
good educational place to start is Dr. Mercola’s Lifestyle plan at
www.Mercola.com/nutritionplan/index.htm . King Solomon wrote…
“He who does not endeavor to heal himself is brother to him who commits
suicide.” Proverbs 18:9 (Septuagint version).

Ancient Wisdom for a Modern Age from King Solomon
that applies to your health and longevity
Although it may not be obvious at first glance, all these verses below
apply directly or indirectly to the issue and priority of living a
healthy lifestyle in terms of being wise, which will ADD years to our
lives, or being foolish (or too casual, complacent or ignorant) which
will SUBTRACT years from our lives.
For example, the warnings about being enticed by a seductive
adulterous woman and the resulting severe negative consequences
perfectly parallel the warnings by health orientated doctors and
practitioners about the danger of being enticed by the seduction of
sugar or any adulterated food or unhealthy lifestyle habit.
So I implore you, to read ALL these passages, and that as
you read these scriptures, ask God the Father to show you
exactly how they apply to your life in this arena of health
and longevity.
Fair enough?
“Repent at my rebuke!
Then I will pour out my thoughts to you,
I will make known to you my teachings.
24
But since you refuse to listen when I call
and no one pays attention when I stretch out my hand,
25
since you disregard all my advice
and do not accept my rebuke,
26
I in turn will laugh when disaster strikes you;
I will mock when calamity overtakes you—
27
when calamity overtakes you like a storm,
when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind,
when distress and trouble overwhelm you.
28
“Then they will call to me but I will not answer;
they will look for me but will not find me,
26
29
since they hated knowledge and did not choose to fear Yehovah (the
LORD).
30
Since they would not accept my advice and spurned my rebuke,
31
they will eat the fruit of their ways
and be filled with the fruit of their schemes.
32
For the waywardness of the simple will kill them,
and the complacency of fools will destroy them;
33
but whoever listens to me will live in safety
and be at ease, without fear of harm.” Proverbs 1:23-33
“…for they (wisdom) will prolong your life many years
and bring you peace and prosperity.” Proverbs 3:2
“Long life is in her right hand.” Proverbs 3:16
“She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her;
those who hold her fast will be blessed. Proverbs 3:18
“Do not be wise in your own eyes;
fear the LORD and shun evil.
This will bring health to your body
and nourishment to your bones.” Proverbs 3:7-8
“Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due (including
yourself!) when it is in your power to act.” Proverbs 3:27
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from
it. (or “it is the well spring of life”)” Proverbs 4:23
“My son, pay attention to my wisdom,
turn your ear to my words of insight,
2
that you may maintain discretion
and your lips may preserve knowledge.
3
For the lips of the adulterous woman drip honey,
and her speech is smoother than oil;
4
but in the end she is bitter as gall,
27
sharp as a double-edged sword.
5
Her feet go down to death;
her steps lead straight to the grave.
6
She gives no thought to the way of life;
her paths wander aimlessly, but she does not know it.
7
Now then, my sons, listen to me;
do not turn aside from what I say.
8
Keep to a path far from her,
do not go near the door of her house,
9
lest you lose your honor to others
and your dignity to one who is cruel,
10
lest strangers feast on your wealth
and your toil enrich the house of another.
11
At the end of your life you will groan,
when your flesh and body are spent.
12
You will say, “How I hated discipline!
How my heart spurned correction!
13
I would not obey my teachers
or turn my ear to my instructors.
14
And I was soon in serious trouble
in the assembly of God’s people.”
15
Drink water from your own cistern,
running water from your own well.
16
Should your springs overflow in the streets,
your streams of water in the public squares?
17
Let them be yours alone,
never to be shared with strangers.
18
May your fountain be blessed,
and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth.
19
A loving doe, a graceful deer—
may her breasts satisfy you always,
may you ever be intoxicated with her love.
20
Why, my son, be intoxicated with another man’s wife?
Why embrace the bosom of a wayward woman?
21
For your ways are in full view of the LORD,
and he examines all your paths.
22
The evil deeds of the wicked ensnare them;
the cords of their sins hold them fast.
23
For lack of discipline they will die,
led astray by their own great folly.” Proverbs 5:1-23
“Free yourself, like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter,
like a bird from the snare of the fowler.” Proverbs 6:5
28
“
Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise!
7
It has no commander, no overseer or ruler,
8
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.” Proverbs 6:6-8
“Do not lust in your heart after her beauty
or let her captivate you with her eyes.
26
For a prostitute can be had for a loaf of bread,
but another man’s wife preys on your very life.
27
Can a man scoop fire into his lap
without his clothes being burned?
28
Can a man walk on hot coals
without his feet being scorched?
29
So is he who sleeps with another man’s wife;
no one who touches her will go unpunished.
30
People do not despise a thief if he steals
to satisfy his hunger when he is starving.
31
Yet if he is caught, he must pay sevenfold,
though it costs him all the wealth of his house.
32
But a man who commits adultery has no sense;
whoever does so destroys himself.
33
Blows and disgrace are his lot,
and his shame will never be wiped away.” Proverbs 6:25-33
“With persuasive words she led him astray;
she seduced him with her smooth talk.
22
All at once he followed her
like an ox going to the slaughter,
like a deer stepping into a noose
23
till an arrow pierces his liver,
like a bird darting into a snare,
little knowing it will cost him his life.
24
Now then, my sons, listen to me;
pay attention to what I say.
25
Do not let your heart turn to her ways
or stray into her paths.
26
Many are the victims she has brought down;
her slain are a mighty throng.
27
Her house is a highway to the grave,
leading down to the chambers of death.” Proverbs 7:21-27

The Ambulance Down in the Valley
by Joseph Malins (1895)
‘Twas a dangerous cliff, as they freely confessed,
though to walk near its edge was quite pleasant,
Till over the side slipped a duke and a prince
and it had fooled many a peasant.
The people all said, something had to be done,
though their projects did not at all tally.
33
Some said put up a fence, 'round the edge of the cliff,
Others, an ambulance down in the valley.
A collection was made, to accumulate aid
and dwellers in highway and alley,
gave dollars and cents, not to furnish a fence,
but an ambulance down in the valley.
The lament of the crowd was profound
and so loud as their hearts overflowed with great pity,
but the ambulance carried, the cry of the day
as it spread to the neighboring cities.
"For the cliff is all right if you're careful," they said,
"and if folks really trip and are falling,
it's not the slipping and sliding that hurts,
so much as the shock when they're stopping."
So for years upon years as these mishaps occurred,
quick forth would the rescuers rally,
to pick up the victims who fell from the cliff
with the ambulance down in the valley.
Said one in his plea, "It's a mystery to me
that you'd give so much greater attention
to managing effects than to addressing the cause.
Why not just work at prevention!
34
The mischief, of course, should be stopped at its source
Come friends and good neighbors, let's rally.
It makes far better sense to rely on a fence,
than on an ambulance down in the valley."
But the majority said, "He's wrong in his head,"
"He would end all our earnest endeavors.
He's the kind of a jerk, that would halt our good work,
but we will support it for ever"
"Don't we pick up them all, just as quick as they fall
and treat them with care quite liberally?
A simple fence is of no consequence
if the ambulance works down in the valley."
Well the story is clear as I've given it here,
though things oft' occur which are stranger,
that more humane they assert, to repair all the hurt,
than the plan of removing the danger.
Before it all ends, it’s time to begin,
There’s certainly no time to dally.
Yes, build up the fence, as it makes more sense,
than having an ambulance down in the valley.

Let me share with you an enlightening confession from one of my best
friends who died December 27, 2013…
The Elephant in the American Church's Healing Room
Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer
of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
--James 5:16 (New International Version)
Dear Walk Show Family,
In my ‘umble opinion, the Lord has recently helped me identify several stages in the healing process that is helping
people like me face down and treat my pancreatic and liver cancer. The first stage is articulate, thorough
confessions of sin. I do assert that the evidence suggests most American Christians fiercely resist this
confessional stage—often in the name of a sloppy understanding of God’s grace. Unfortunately, in the process,
they miss out on it’s absolutely necessary role in the overall healing process.
When they first told me I had stage-four pancreatic cancer and that I was, in effect, dead meat, with less than six
months to live, I started exploring what kinds of things people like me have done to, in the words of trauma
surgeon, Dr. Lorraine Day, create the conditions favorable to the development of my own type of cancer.
In Dr. Day’s compelling testimony on her website, DrDay.com (a must-see), Dr. Day presents a compelling case for
how, through resisting her own professional training and peer pressure, she not only found out what she had done
to herself to get her fast-growing cancer, but how she could lick it without the need for immune-system-trashing
oncology of her background training.
Now, in my opinion, gluttony and pancreatic cancer go together. Once I made this connection clearly (helped along
by my health coach, Ray Gebauer, in this thought-provoking article, “How Does God Feel about Over
Eating?”), the Lord helped me go deeper and deeper into healing’s confessional stage, until finally I could see with
new eyes Hosea 2’s advice to the children of Israel:
14
[a]
Return, Israel, to the Lord your God.
Your sins have been your downfall!
2
Take words with you
and return to the Lord.
Say to him:
“Forgive all our sins
and receive us graciously,
that we may offer the fruit of our lips.
[b]
I began to perceive that the sin behind my decades of gluttonous abuse of my body was at its core not
acknowledging God in ALL things. Instead, I chose to suppress my consciousness to the “still, small voice” of the
Holy Spirit and blotted out the multiple warnings throughout the years (such as a potbelly in what I made into my
midlife’s sedentary years) that had whispered to me about my gluttony:
“Whose god is their belly.”. . .
“Whose god is their belly.”. . .
“Whose god is their belly.”
36
I kept hearing those words whispered to my inner spirit, but it took me decades and my cramming multitudinous
gallons of ice cream, fries, and junk food into my gullet and onto my overloaded pancreas before I got around to
looking up and finding this Philippians 3: 17-21 passage from where this repeated, Holy Spirit’s warning was drawn.
What I saw was not pretty: Philippians 3: 17 – 21 (NIV):
17
Join together in following my example, brothers and sisters, and just as you have us as a model,
keep your eyes on those who live as we do.
18
For, as I have often told you before and now tell you
again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ.
19
Their destiny is
destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on
earthly things.
20
But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus
Christ,
21
who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform
our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.
What Are You Doing with Your Precious Immune-System “Talent”?
The way I now see it is: The Lord presented me my immune system somewhat like a “talent” that is infinitely more
valuable than the one, two, or five bags of gold given to the Master’s servants in Jesus’ parable of the “talents”!
At the day of judgment “for deeds done in the body,” I’m not sure about you, but I certainly don’t want to stand
before my Master and declare, “Through making my pot belly my “god”, overwhelming my hard-working pancreas,
and “setting my mind on earthly things” (cf., Philippians 3: 17-21) in my lifestyle choices, I actually went out and not
just hid my valuable “asset/talent” like the servant in Christ’s parable, but I outright, willfully trashed my precious
immune system in the process!
Within twenty years: “Hello, pancreatic cancer!”
So, my first step in the healing process was to confess how thoroughly I had worked toward the destruction of my
own body.
Sure, as I told you last time, I have long-since blown off the oncologists’ advice to finish the job off by cutting,
burning, and drugging my immune responses down to nothing (at the expense of more than my net worth and the
building of theirs), but it was my own deathstyle choices that brought me to the present place I’m in right
now.”
I have now confessed and, I believe, been forgiven—with my culinary wickedness being removed from me by the
blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ—as far as the East is from the West!
After the well-articulated, in-depth confession can come God’s forgiveness and a wonderful new release into
whatever He has for me ahead—whether healing me physically here and now, or bringing me home to Himself.
But, when I depart from the earth, all will be well and I will go out clear, because I’m even now being ushered into a
new era of cleansed “peace and purity” I have never before known.
Life is great!
Anybody See Dumbo in the Healing Room?
37
In my humble opinion, the elephant in the American Church’s “healing rooms” is this: “We have all been asking
for release from the consequences of our sins without touching the sins!” Perhaps next time instead we
might start with the application of the blood of Jesus upon those carefully articulated, thorough confessions!
Since I started my responses to my current health challenges, I have moved well beyond the necessary, initial
confession stage, as I am now starting to plumb the depths of God’s forgiveness and grace that follows the well-
articulated confession of our sins.
Anything in here for you and yours?
Pullin’ and Prayin’ for and with you,
Ken

There is a right way and a wrong way. Furthermore, it is written into living tissues—nerves, arteries,
organs, cells. If we offend against laws of hygiene or health, the laws are not broken, we are!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don’t you know that you are a temple of God and that the spirit of God dwells in you? If any man
DESTROYS the temple of God, God will DESTROY him, for the temple of God is holy and that is what
you are. --I Corinthians 3:16-17 (New American Standard Bible)

God's Math--Add or Subtract

  • 1. 1 Learn what God says about how to STOP SUBTRACTING years from your life and instead, start ADDING years to your life, so that the rest of your life can be the best of your life By Ray Gebauer September 2012
  • 2. 2 This book is based on the Bible, and partially based on my previous books, How to Cure and Prevent Any Disease (Copyright 1999), and Healing in Your Pocket (Copyright 2004, revised November 2011) and The Single Cause and Cure for Any Health Condition (Copyright 2006) Praise for How to Cure and Prevent Any Disease “An excellent, well written practical resource.” Blaine S. Purcell, M.D. Diplomate, American Board of Internal Medicine and American Board of Anti-Aging Medicine. “Using the advice in this book can best prepare you to live a long, healthful life. There’s too much at stake to not share it with everyone you care about!” Darryl See, M.D., Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine, World Health Organization “It is difficult in a few words to convey the importance of the concepts that Ray Gebauer has presented in this remarkable book.” Michael D. Schlacter, M.D., Board Certified Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Disease Clinical Instructor, University of Nevada School of Medicine “My father once said to my brother and I, ‘If you want to know the answer, ask the man who knows.’ Ray Gebauer is a man who knows. He is always finding innovative and exciting ways to share his knowledge. God has blessed him with the gifts of help and discernment as well as giving. Ray’s new book will be a tremendous help and blessing to those who read it and use it in their lives.” Stanley C. • 4. 4  Do you want to be happy, healthy and wise?  Do you want to avoid decay, disease, destruction and early death and suffering that comes from doing what most people do?  Do you want to STOP SUBTRACTING years from your life and START ADDING years to your life instead? If your answer is yes, then I wrote this article for you! I invite and urge you to please accept what I share in this article as a precious life-saving gift that can enrich and extend your life. Why have I written this short e-book? It’s because I am on a mission, and believe that the Father has anointed me to be a “Watchman” or “Lifeguard” for you and others “who have ears to hear,” based on numerous passages such as these: Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter. 12 If you say, “But we knew nothing about this,” does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who guards your life know it? Will he not repay everyone according to what they have done? Proverbs 24:11-12 At the end of seven days the word of Yehovah (LORD) came to me: 17 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. 18 When I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die,’ and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order
  • 5. 5 to save their life, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. 19 But if you do warn the wicked person and they do not turn from their wickedness or from their evil ways, they will die for their sin; but you will have saved yourself. 20 “Again, when a righteous person turns from their righteousness and does evil, and I put a stumbling block before them, they will die. Since you did not warn them, they will die for their sin. The righteous things that person did will not be remembered, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. 21 But if you do warn the righteous person not to sin and they do not sin, they will surely live because they took warning, and you will have saved yourself.” Ezekiel 3:16-21 The Spirit of the Lord Yehovah (LORD) is on me, because Yehovah (LORD) has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, 2 to proclaim the year of Yehovah’s (LORD’s) favor AND the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. Isaiah 61:1-3 (This was written about Isaiah, as well as prophetically about Jesus, later fulfilled by him as God’s Anointed, and applies to myself and all true believers as well) If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen. I Peter 4:11 Not a Pretty Picture—Not a Good Day

But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’ 17 “And I set watchmen over you, saying, ‘Listen to the sound of the trumpet!’ But they said, ‘We will not listen.’ 18 “Therefore hear, O nations, And know, O congregation, what is among them. 19 “Hear, O earth: behold, I am bringing disaster on this people, The fruit of their plans, Because they have not listened to My words” Jer. 6:16-19 The High Cost of being a FOOL
  • 8. 8 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.” Matthew 7:24-27. “Don’t be a FOOL! And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him and said to him, “Thus says Yehovah (the LORD), ‘Set your house in order, for you shall die and not live.’” 2 Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Yehovah, 3 and said, “Remember now, Yehovah, I beseech You, how I have walked before You in truth and with a whole heart, and have done what is good in Your sight.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly. 4 Then the word of Yehovah came to Isaiah, saying, 5 “Go and say to Hezekiah, ‘Thus says the Yehovah, the God of your father David, “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; behold, I will add fifteen years to your life.” Isaiah 38:1-5 (this story is repeated in II Kings 20 and II Chron. 32). Proverbs 3:27 Would a Loving God Kill You? “Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna”. Matthew 10:28 27 Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord. 28 But a man must examine himself, and in so doing he is to eat of the bread and drink of the cup. 29 For he who eats and drinks, eats and drinks judgment to himself if he does not judge the body rightly. 30 For this reason many among you are weak and sick, and a number sleep (i.e. die). 31 But if we judged ourselves rightly, we would not be judged. 32 But when we are judged, we are disciplined by the Lord so that we will not be condemned along with the world.” I Corinthians 11:27-32.  Weakness  Sickness  Death (“sleep”) “If you are not careful to observe all the words of this law which are written in this book, to fear this honored and awesome name, Yehovah (LORD) your God, 59 then Yehovah (LORD)

Deut. 28:58-63. “So also I will make you sick, striking you down, ruining you because of your sins.” Micah 6:13 Other Examples of Warnings of God’s Judgment on us “If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned.” John 15:6. For I do not want you to be ignorant of the fact, brothers and sisters, that our ancestors were all under the cloud and that they all passed through the sea. 2 They were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea. 3 They all ate the same spiritual food 4 and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ. 5 Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them; their bodies were scattered in the wilderness. 6 Now these things occurred as examples to keep us from setting our hearts on evil things as they did. 7 Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written: “The people sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry.” 8 We should not commit sexual immorality, as some of them did—and in one day twenty-three thousand of them died. 9 We should not test Christ, as some of them did—and were killed by snakes. 10 And do not grumble, as some of them did —and were killed by the destroying angel. 11 These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the culmination of the ages has come. 12 So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall!” I Cor. 10:1-12
  • 16. 16 26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the adversaries of God (we become adversaries when of God when we persist in sin). 28 Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will judge His people.” 31 It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. “But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back.” 39 But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved.” Hebrews 10:26-39 “work out our salvation with fear and trembling” (Phil. 2:12). “triumph over judgment” (James 2:13 The Illusion of Safety or Immunity (“I am the vine, you are the branches…”), (“If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned”)

  • 19. 19 Healthy lifestyle behaviors in old age ADD half a decade to life span "Engaging in health-promoting lifestyle behaviors during one's golden years can result in a longer life, even among the very old, according to research described online on August 30 in the British Medical Journal (www.BMJ.com). "Studies have shown that lifestyle factors such as smoking, alcohol consumption, and body weight (both underweight and overweight), can predict mortality in elderly people," Debora Rizzuto, PhD and her colleagues at Sweden's Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm write. The study included 1,810 men and women who were at least 75 years old participating in the Kungsholmen Project, a longitudinal study on dementia and aging. Interviews conducted upon enrollment obtained information concerning the participants' smoking status, alcohol intake, leisure activities, social networks, chronic diseases and other factors. The group was followed for 18 years, during which 91.8 percent died. Half of the participants survived longer than 90 years of age. Not surprisingly, women and nonsmokers lived longer than men and current smokers. Subjects who regularly engaged in physical activity lived a median of two years longer than those who did not, and those who consumed alcohol lived a median of 1.3 years more than those who were never drinkers. Men and women who had a low risk profile, characterized by healthy lifestyle behaviors, participation in one or more leisure activities and having a rich social network (defined as living with a spouse, being in regular contact with children, and having daily to weekly contact with relatives and friends) or a moderate social network (defined as having two of the three elements of a rich social network) lived a median of 5.4 years longer than those who had a high risk profile that included none of these factors. When the subjects were analyzed according to gender, men with a low risk profile lived a median of six years longer and women five years longer in comparison with those who had a high risk profile.
  • 20. 20 And in an analysis of those 85 years of age or more, a low risk profile still conferred a median age of death that was 4.7 years older than that of subjects with a high risk profile.” The Myth that “This must be God’s Will” (“Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven”). The Myth that “God will Heal Me if I Have Faith”
  • 21. 21 “ And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson and Jephthah, about David and Samuel and the prophets, 33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised…. There were others who were tortured, refusing to be released so that they might gain an even better resurrection. 36 Some faced jeers and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. 37 They were put to death by stoning;[e] they were sawed in two; they were killed by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated— 38 the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, living in caves and in holes in the ground. These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, 40 since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made complete.” Hebrews 11:32-40. “What Must I Do to be Saved?” ADMIT to God and yourself that you are sinner specifically in the arena of health, in defiling and destroying your body by an unhealthy lifestyle and are in jeopardy of His judgment according to I Cor. 3:16-17. REPENT—turn away from your sin of defiling God’s temple. Change your thinking so as to change your behavior.
  • 22. 22 BELIEVE IN AND RECEIVE the good news, which is the solution to the problem of sin and judgment in regards to defiling and destroying God’s temple. The solution is not merely making some adjustments or going on a diet—it’s a healthy lifestyle that honors God and His temple. COMMIT to making the changes you need to make, from being “a fool” in the area of health to being wise in how you honor God’s temple. LIVE, by the grace/power of God, for His glory and your good, a healthy lifestyle that honors God and honors His temple (our body) as consistently as you can. A good educational place to start is Dr. Mercola’s Lifestyle plan at www.Mercola.com/nutritionplan/index.htm . King Solomon wrote… “He who does not endeavor to heal himself is brother to him who commits suicide.” Proverbs 18:9 (Septuagint version). My Apology

MERCOLA’S HEALTHY LIFESTYLE PLAN: (NOT BY THIS AUTHOR) HTTP://WWW.MERCOLA.COM/NUTRITIONPLAN/INDEX.HTM Ancient Wisdom for a Modern Age from King Solomon that applies to your health and longevity Although it may not be obvious at first glance, all these verses below apply directly or indirectly to the issue and priority of living a healthy lifestyle in terms of being wise, which will ADD years to our lives, or being foolish (or too casual, complacent or ignorant) which will SUBTRACT years from our lives. For example, the warnings about being enticed by a seductive adulterous woman and the resulting severe negative consequences perfectly parallel the warnings by health orientated doctors and practitioners about the danger of being enticed by the seduction of sugar or any adulterated food or unhealthy lifestyle habit. So I implore you, to read ALL these passages, and that as you read these scriptures, ask God the Father to show you exactly how they apply to your life in this arena of health and longevity. Fair enough? “Repent at my rebuke! Then I will pour out my thoughts to you, I will make known to you my teachings. 24 But since you refuse to listen when I call and no one pays attention when I stretch out my hand, 25 since you disregard all my advice and do not accept my rebuke, 26 I in turn will laugh when disaster strikes you; I will mock when calamity overtakes you— 27 when calamity overtakes you like a storm, when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind, when distress and trouble overwhelm you. 28 “Then they will call to me but I will not answer; they will look for me but will not find me,

Proverbs 3:18 “Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.” Proverbs 3:7-8 “Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due (including yourself!) when it is in your power to act.” Proverbs 3:27 “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. (or “it is the well spring of life”)” Proverbs 4:23 “My son, pay attention to my wisdom, turn your ear to my words of insight, 2 that you may maintain discretion and your lips may preserve knowledge. 3 For the lips of the adulterous woman drip honey, and her speech is smoother than oil; 4 but in the end she is bitter as gall,

How my heart spurned correction! 13 I would not obey my teachers or turn my ear to my instructors. 14 And I was soon in serious trouble in the assembly of God’s people.” 15 Drink water from your own cistern, running water from your own well. 16 Should your springs overflow in the streets, your streams of water in the public squares? 17 Let them be yours alone, never to be shared with strangers. 18 May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth. 19 A loving doe, a graceful deer— may her breasts satisfy you always, may you ever be intoxicated with her love. 20 Why, my son, be intoxicated with another man’s wife? Why embrace the bosom of a wayward woman? 21 For your ways are in full view of the LORD, and he examines all your paths. 22 The evil deeds of the wicked ensnare them; the cords of their sins hold them fast. 23 For lack of discipline they will die, led astray by their own great folly.” Proverbs 5:1-23 “Free yourself, like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, like a bird from the snare of the fowler.” Proverbs 6:5

The people all said, something had to be done, though their projects did not at all tally.
  • 33. 33 Some said put up a fence, 'round the edge of the cliff, Others, an ambulance down in the valley. A collection was made, to accumulate aid and dwellers in highway and alley, gave dollars and cents, not to furnish a fence, but an ambulance down in the valley. The lament of the crowd was profound and so loud as their hearts overflowed with great pity, but the ambulance carried, the cry of the day as it spread to the neighboring cities. "For the cliff is all right if you're careful," they said, "and if folks really trip and are falling, it's not the slipping and sliding that hurts, so much as the shock when they're stopping." So for years upon years as these mishaps occurred, quick forth would the rescuers rally, to pick up the victims who fell from the cliff with the ambulance down in the valley. Said one in his plea, "It's a mystery to me that you'd give so much greater attention to managing effects than to addressing the cause. Why not just work at prevention!
  • 34. 34 The mischief, of course, should be stopped at its source Come friends and good neighbors, let's rally. It makes far better sense to rely on a fence, than on an ambulance down in the valley." But the majority said, "He's wrong in his head," "He would end all our earnest endeavors. He's the kind of a jerk, that would halt our good work, but we will support it for ever" "Don't we pick up them all, just as quick as they fall and treat them with care quite liberally? A simple fence is of no consequence if the ambulance works down in the valley." Well the story is clear as I've given it here, though things oft' occur which are stranger, that more humane they assert, to repair all the hurt, than the plan of removing the danger. Before it all ends, it’s time to begin, There’s certainly no time to dally. Yes, build up the fence, as it makes more sense, than having an ambulance down in the valley.
  • 35. 35 Let me share with you an enlightening confession from one of my best friends who died December 27, 2013… The Elephant in the American Church's Healing Room Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. --James 5:16 (New International Version) Dear Walk Show Family, In my ‘umble opinion, the Lord has recently helped me identify several stages in the healing process that is helping people like me face down and treat my pancreatic and liver cancer. The first stage is articulate, thorough confessions of sin. I do assert that the evidence suggests most American Christians fiercely resist this confessional stage—often in the name of a sloppy understanding of God’s grace. Unfortunately, in the process, they miss out on it’s absolutely necessary role in the overall healing process. When they first told me I had stage-four pancreatic cancer and that I was, in effect, dead meat, with less than six months to live, I started exploring what kinds of things people like me have done to, in the words of trauma surgeon, Dr. Lorraine Day, create the conditions favorable to the development of my own type of cancer. In Dr. Day’s compelling testimony on her website, DrDay.com (a must-see), Dr. Day presents a compelling case for how, through resisting her own professional training and peer pressure, she not only found out what she had done to herself to get her fast-growing cancer, but how she could lick it without the need for immune-system-trashing oncology of her background training. Now, in my opinion, gluttony and pancreatic cancer go together. Once I made this connection clearly (helped along by my health coach, Ray Gebauer, in this thought-provoking article, “How Does God Feel about Over Eating?”), the Lord helped me go deeper and deeper into healing’s confessional stage, until finally I could see with new eyes Hosea 2’s advice to the children of Israel: 14 [a] Return, Israel, to the Lord your God. Your sins have been your downfall! 2 Take words with you and return to the Lord. Say to him: “Forgive all our sins and receive us graciously, that we may offer the fruit of our lips. [b] I began to perceive that the sin behind my decades of gluttonous abuse of my body was at its core not acknowledging God in ALL things. Instead, I chose to suppress my consciousness to the “still, small voice” of the Holy Spirit and blotted out the multiple warnings throughout the years (such as a potbelly in what I made into my midlife’s sedentary years) that had whispered to me about my gluttony: “Whose god is their belly.”. . . “Whose god is their belly.”. . . “Whose god is their belly.”
  • 36. 36 I kept hearing those words whispered to my inner spirit, but it took me decades and my cramming multitudinous gallons of ice cream, fries, and junk food into my gullet and onto my overloaded pancreas before I got around to looking up and finding this Philippians 3: 17-21 passage from where this repeated, Holy Spirit’s warning was drawn. What I saw was not pretty: Philippians 3: 17 – 21 (NIV): 17 Join together in following my example, brothers and sisters, and just as you have us as a model, keep your eyes on those who live as we do. 18 For, as I have often told you before and now tell you again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. 19 Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things. 20 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body. What Are You Doing with Your Precious Immune-System “Talent”? The way I now see it is: The Lord presented me my immune system somewhat like a “talent” that is infinitely more valuable than the one, two, or five bags of gold given to the Master’s servants in Jesus’ parable of the “talents”! At the day of judgment “for deeds done in the body,” I’m not sure about you, but I certainly don’t want to stand before my Master and declare, “Through making my pot belly my “god”, overwhelming my hard-working pancreas, and “setting my mind on earthly things” (cf., Philippians 3: 17-21) in my lifestyle choices, I actually went out and not just hid my valuable “asset/talent” like the servant in Christ’s parable, but I outright, willfully trashed my precious immune system in the process! Within twenty years: “Hello, pancreatic cancer!” So, my first step in the healing process was to confess how thoroughly I had worked toward the destruction of my own body. Sure, as I told you last time, I have long-since blown off the oncologists’ advice to finish the job off by cutting, burning, and drugging my immune responses down to nothing (at the expense of more than my net worth and the building of theirs), but it was my own deathstyle choices that brought me to the present place I’m in right now.” I have now confessed and, I believe, been forgiven—with my culinary wickedness being removed from me by the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ—as far as the East is from the West! After the well-articulated, in-depth confession can come God’s forgiveness and a wonderful new release into whatever He has for me ahead—whether healing me physically here and now, or bringing me home to Himself. But, when I depart from the earth, all will be well and I will go out clear, because I’m even now being ushered into a new era of cleansed “peace and purity” I have never before known. Life is great! Anybody See Dumbo in the Healing Room?
  • 37. 37 In my humble opinion, the elephant in the American Church’s “healing rooms” is this: “We have all been asking for release from the consequences of our sins without touching the sins!” Perhaps next time instead we might start with the application of the blood of Jesus upon those carefully articulated, thorough confessions! Since I started my responses to my current health challenges, I have moved well beyond the necessary, initial confession stage, as I am now starting to plumb the depths of God’s forgiveness and grace that follows the well- articulated confession of our sins.
