He was a key figure in the introduction of the Indian philosophies of# Vedanta and #Yoga to the Western world and is credited with raising #interfaith awareness, bringing Hinduism to the status of a major world religion during the late 19th century. He was a major force in the revival of Hinduism in India, and contributed to the concept of nationalism in colonial India. Vivekananda founded the #Ramakrishna Math and the Ramakrishna Mission. He is perhaps best known for his speech which began, "Sisters and brothers of America ...," in which he introduced Hinduism at the Parliament of the World's Religions in Chicago in 1893.
Born into an aristocratic Bengali family of Calcutta, Vivekananda was inclined towards spirituality. Jesus' teachings have continued to be a source of great learning, debate and controversy. When he taught people were both amazed and intrigued by the authority with which he spoke. Listen to his words as he speak of life and hope into your life.
While witnessing in a square a couple of weeks ago, I came across two Christian ladies who asked me how I am able to do what I was doing (witnessing in a hostile environment); as they found that environment not conducive to witness in. So I told them some practical things to do `before coming out there, like prayer and fasting (if they can); but MORE IMPORTANTLY I told them a story of an incidence the Lord used to impress in my heart the priceless significance of a good conscience: and need for us is to continually seek the Lord for a GOOD CONSCIENCE so as to have a USEFUL HEART
Veil Rent - The Significance For Us? Boldness to “enter in”
Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh. (Hebrews 10:19-20)
Here we have the answer to the question we have always asked: “what do I need to do to go near to God”?
Answer being: Boldness to “enter in”
Yes, the Confidence, self-assurance, nerve, cheek, audaciousness to enter into the very presence of God without the fear of dying there; we can no more die there, since Jesus Christ has died in our place; made eternal life guaranteed for us. Our boldness is based on the perfection of His sacrifice of which He said:
“IT IS FINISHED”
so:
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. (Proverbs 4:23)
What is the biblical understanding of the wrath of God?
Both humans and God express wrath. But there is vast difference between the wrath of God and the wrath of man. God’s wrath is holy and always justified; man’s is never holy and rarely justified.
The fullness of God’s wrath is depicted in the book of Revelation.
In the Old Testament, the wrath of God is a divine response to human sin and disobedience. Idolatry was most often the occasion for divine wrath. Psalm 78:56-66 describes Israel’s idolatry.
The wrath of God is consistently directed towards those who do not follow His will (Deuteronomy 1:26-46; Joshua 7:1; Psalm 2:1-6).

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer.
