Editor's Notes

  • #3 I want to address three main topics todayThe first is Globalism, and the counter to that “Localism”Inbev is a Global Company that believes in the importance of local cultureI also want to tell you how Fuqua’s new global initiatives will provide us with the tools, networks and synergies to take advantage of the global economy in general, and how they fit with the business culture of a company such as InBev in particular. If you do not want to work at InBev I recommend that Your Duke MBA is well suited to similar companies that are both global and local actors..Finally I would like to tell you about the dynamic and high quality work environment at Inbev and the opportunities for well-rounded, excellent MBAs such as yourselves to strive and thrive there
  • #4 Just a quick history: Founder: Swiss, Brazil, Belgium, Budweiser… Stella started in 1366 in LeuvenAlthough Stella Artois is it’s headlining global brand, Juliper outsells it in their home country of Belgium.I found this a particularly interesting example of InBevs commitment to local tastes and diversified products.
  • #8 SABMiller not for dual switchers –those changing industry and function.
