movement around a cone
Theme: Improve Passing and Receiving

Objectives:

Repetition of two touch techniques

movement off the ball around a cone

Possession Game
Individual Passing Skills
In pairs and one ball
Rules: Two teams, 3v3 in middle and rest outside.
Work through three pass and receive techniques
Game 1 – to score player must pass out and go out
(run towards different space) Player receives from
outside and comes in to join 3v3
1 – inside across and inside pass (2 feet)
2 – inside open and inside pass (one foot)
3 – outside across and inside pass
4 – inside across and outside pass
5 – sole across and inside pass
Game 2 – Players must pass out and go out,
incoming player has one touch to pass and then
comes in
Only try Game 2 if players are advancing
6 - Sole across and outside pass
Passing and Receiving (movement off the ball)
SSG 4v4 plus 2
Rules: Just over half the players on a cone looking
to receive, others have a ball and look to pass to
cone player. Player who passes then must find a
different cone. Player receiving must dribble and
look to pass elsewhere.

Challenge players to try laces pass, gaps to
play a longer pass
