This document provides instructions on using imperatives and the future tense form "will" for giving instructions. Imperatives are formed with the verb without a subject and are used to directly tell someone to perform an action. The negative imperative uses "don't/do not" plus the verb. Will is used when listing items needed for projects or recipes or to explain what will happen next in a set of instructions. Examples are given such as "sit down" and "don't feed the animals" for imperatives and "you will need a sewing needle" for instructions using will.
