The International Mineral Processing Congress (IMPC) will be held September 11-15, 2016 in Québec City, Canada. Over 1,500 mineral processing experts from over 60 countries will attend the four-day event, featuring 600 oral presentations, 150 posters, 70 exhibitors, and vast networking opportunities. First held in 1952, the IMPC has occurred every four years since and brings together delegates from around the world to collaborate on key issues in mining and mineral processing.

The Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM) is honoured to
be hosting the XXVIII International Mineral Processing Congress (IMPC) in Québec
City, Québec, Canada. In September 2016, over 1,500 mineral processing experts,
academics and industry professionals from more than 60 countries will gather to
explore and discuss the important issues and trends currently shaping our industry
and its future. Canada last hosted the IMPC in 1982 and is proud to do so again.
About the IMPC Congress
The International Mineral Processing Congress has been in existence for more than
332 delegates, it was indeed an impressive start to what would become a long and
successful series of world-renowned congresses. The IMPC has been a major driving
in the world today. The congress is truly international in scope with delegates from all
parts of the world deliberating and collaborating on critical issues facing the mining and
mineral processing industry globally.

The IMPC council is an elected body responsible for determining the date and venue
of the IMPC congress, ensuring that high standards are maintained, establishing
