About Wind
Tunnels
Wind tunnels are devices used to test the aerodynamic properties of
objects. Everything that interacts with air and needs to be designed
with a streamlined flow in mind can be tested in a wind tunnel. The
applications are endless. Cars, drone propellers, plane aerofoils,
athletic wear and even buildings can be designed and tested with the
help of a wind tunnel. It was a great learning opportunity for the
team and the challenges faced helped the members understand real
life engineering.

Pressure, Velocity and CFD Simulations
The project has great scope for the future. It can be used to
study aerodynamic theories and real life applications of
drag forces. It can be used as an educational tool to
demonstrate mechanical principles, as a device to study
control systems and DAQs. It is a sustainable project for any
educational institution as future students can add and
improve upon the existing model.
