Republic of Latvia Mr. Jānis Bordāns
26 business people and diplomats from Latvia, the UK, the
USA, Ireland, Taiwan, Canada, Sweden and Finland
participated in the Luncheon to discuss the new trends in
the field of justice with the Minister.

Conservatory, Saint Petersburg Philharmonic, Amsterdam

In an informal environment 12 Latvian business people and
representatives from Foreign Embassies tried to learn how
to work smarter and more efficiently by implementing the
Lean methodology for production and services. They also
participated in a Business simulation game in order gain an
Understanding of the advantages and benefits of the Lean
system.

The full day Regional Trip to Tukums
The coach trip started early in the morning with 19
business people and diplomats. The first port of call was
the Snickers Production, Latvia SIA, a company based in
the centre of Tukums that has been manufacturing work
wear in Latvia for 20 years.
Next was a visit to the Skonto Plan Ltd, a company
offering an extensive range of products for construction
projects of varying complexity: from windows and doors to
load-bearing steel structures, curtain walling, roofs and
noise and safety barriers.
The tour then proceeded to the Tukums Ice Hall for a tasty
lunch followed by a tour around the facilities.
The sweetest part of the tour was left for last: A visit to
Pure Chocolate and Chocolate museum. They make
wonderful chocolate truffles using genuine Belgian
chocolate combined with delicious fillings and natural
garnish. The guests tasted the chocolates and were able to
make their own truffles.
