Making Online Training More Agile with Blackboard BadgesJeremy Anderson
At American International College we implemented Blackboard accomplishments in a variety of training scenarios in order to improve tracking, accountability, and engagement. Three separate use cases are presented: online faculty certification, online student orientation, help desk cross training certification.
Presented at NERCOMP PDO Blackboard Users Group 2015.
Making Faculty Training More Agile with Blackboard BadgesKaitlin Walsh
As colleges increase their online course offerings, so does the need to train faculty to transition to the online format. Also, with a number of these online courses being taught by adjuncts who work full time or teach elsewhere, perhaps the biggest challenge is finding the time to complete the training. How do we cover the points they need to know in the little time they have? And how do we make the training relevant or meaningful to those who have had previous training elsewhere?
At American International College, we sought to address these challenges by using a competency-based badge system to support our training program for faculty teaching online. Faculty complete tasks to demonstrate their mastery of Blackboard skills, online pedagogy and AIC policies and procedures, with each set of tasks leading to a badge. Faculty who already have experience in these areas can demonstrate their competencies in alternate methods to earn their badges. This presentation will provide an overview of AIC’s redeveloped training program for faculty teaching online. We will address considerations of structure and implementation, as well as the benefits for full- and part-time faculty.
Advancements in Internet based technologies, especially online conferencing tools, create a unique niche for teachers to receive ongoing, on-demand learning for their profession. This workshop will introduce you to several web-conferencing tools from the formal (Adobe Connect Pro, Elluminate) to the free (Skype, WizIQ). Review several resources where professional organizations (OTAN, CALPRO, CASAS), district educational offices, community colleges and publishers offer teachers professional development opportunities from the comfort of your home. In addition, learn what kind of equipment you need to successfully participate in these online webinars.

After this presentation, you’ll be better prepared to frame your business analyst activities in value terms your stakeholders understand – and will act on. We’ll help you compare your principles of success to those of your employer and stakeholders. Requirements Manager Center of Excellence: “Achieving Goals Without Formaliz...IIBA Rochester NY
Most companies today recognize that the definition and management of requirements for software projects needs improving. Companies may realize that they have been achieving their goals without formalizing a Requirements Management Center of Excellence. A Center of Excellence (CoE) has a lot of responsibilities and serves as the critical hub of managing software requirements.
Mr. Karczewski will present an overview of a Requirements Management Center of Excellence, covering benefits of establishing a CoE, Requirements Engineering phases and metrics, and what can be included in a CoE.
Joel Karczewski, Area Vice President at Paychex, is responsible for Enterprise Business Solutions and has over 25 years of Information Technology development and operational experience. Joel joined Paychex in 2008 and is responsible for groups that manage application design, development and testing, user acceptance testing and software configuration and release processes.
Prior to joining Paychex, Joel was a Principal at Vangard Group responsible for the development and implementation of systems for the Institutional Investment Division.

Moving Minds and Moving Code - Understanding, Exploring and Defining SMB Web...IIBA Rochester NY
Believe it or not, understanding, exploring and defining website requirements for a small business website is often quite a bit more challenging than defining those of a large enterprise-level corporation. For one thing, an SMB Marketing Department is smaller; usually a department of one, and that manager's time and resources are usually already stretched to the limit. Also, different aspects of the project may have to be outsourced to different vendors, leading to additional obstacles and complications. Couple that with the fact that the project budget is in the thousands of dollars instead of the 10's or 100's of thousands and the challenges to "do more with less" becomes even more apparent.
This session will provide an overview of Michael Johnson's requirements process and design methodology at Pixelpunk Creative for building small business websites that are manageable, extensible and most importantly, provide a positive return on your marketing investment.
You don't need an army of account managers, project managers, product developers, usability experts and engineers (along with the associated price tags) to create a successful and profitable website - Michael will show you how.
Michael Johnson, is an award winning art director, web designer and internet marketing strategist with over 10 years of commercial online experience and with over 20 years of marketing and advertising experience. As the principal of Pixelpunk Creative, he designs, codes and markets websites that are simple and elegant, with a focus on the user experience, while providing a positive return on his client's online marketing investment. Michael is a long time member of the Ontario County Arts Council and is also an active member of the Rochester Advertising Federation. He was also invited by the Rochester Business Journal to judge this year's "best of the Web" competition.
This presentation was delivered at the 13 May 2010 IIBA Rochester NY Chapter meeting.
Think about your recent experiences in the airport screening line, the hospital ER, the “fast food” drive through or your neighboring department. Are they always pleasant? Sadly, not all processes function smoothly – often to your customers’ dismay. Through business process optimization, your organization can strive for effectiveness and efficiency through innovation and flexibility. It doesn’t have to be a complicated endeavor – learn how! Bringing Software Requirements to Life by David Walker (Micro Focus) - Sep 2009IIBA Rochester NY
Tired of numbing statistics that continue to cite requirements as the root of all software project failure? Despite the proliferation of requirements management technologies, requirements problems persist. And, as application development processes increase in complexity, the requirements problem continues to grow - it costs software delivery organizations more than ever before in terms of budget, time-to-market, business value and customer goodwill. You may think you're managing your requirements, but the burning question is: What if you're managing the wrong requirements?
Requirements definition goes to the very core of application development - it is the underlying key to project success or failure, yet it is the single most neglected discipline within software development.
What are the hidden costs associated with poor requirements? It's much worse than you think.
Why traditional approaches to defining applications fail and will always fail.
How simulation and prototyping are different from what you do now and why it's worth trying.
Defining software requirements is a source of pain for most organizations - but for smart teams, it can be the area of greatest opportunity. Come on out and learn more!

Memorandum Of Association Constitution of Company.pptseri bangash
www.seribangash.com
A Memorandum of Association (MOA) is a legal document that outlines the fundamental principles and objectives upon which a company operates. It serves as the company's charter or constitution and defines the scope of its activities. Here's a detailed note on the MOA:
Contents of Memorandum of Association:
Name Clause: This clause states the name of the company, which should end with words like "Limited" or "Ltd." for a public limited company and "Private Limited" or "Pvt. Ltd." for a private limited company.
https://seribangash.com/article-of-association-is-legal-doc-of-company/
Registered Office Clause: It specifies the location where the company's registered office is situated. This office is where all official communications and notices are sent.
Objective Clause: This clause delineates the main objectives for which the company is formed. It's important to define these objectives clearly, as the company cannot undertake activities beyond those mentioned in this clause.
www.seribangash.com
Liability Clause: It outlines the extent of liability of the company's members. In the case of companies limited by shares, the liability of members is limited to the amount unpaid on their shares. For companies limited by guarantee, members' liability is limited to the amount they undertake to contribute if the company is wound up.
https://seribangash.com/promotors-is-person-conceived-formation-company/
Capital Clause: This clause specifies the authorized capital of the company, i.e., the maximum amount of share capital the company is authorized to issue. It also mentions the division of this capital into shares and their respective nominal value.
Association Clause: It simply states that the subscribers wish to form a company and agree to become members of it, in accordance with the terms of the MOA.
Importance of Memorandum of Association:
Legal Requirement: The MOA is a legal requirement for the formation of a company. It must be filed with the Registrar of Companies during the incorporation process.
Constitutional Document: It serves as the company's constitutional document, defining its scope, powers, and limitations.
Protection of Members: It protects the interests of the company's members by clearly defining the objectives and limiting their liability.
External Communication: It provides clarity to external parties, such as investors, creditors, and regulatory authorities, regarding the company's objectives and powers.
https://seribangash.com/difference-public-and-private-company-law/
Binding Authority: The company and its members are bound by the provisions of the MOA. Any action taken beyond its scope may be considered ultra vires (beyond the powers) of the company and therefore void.
Amendment of MOA:
While the MOA lays down the company's fundamental principles, it is not entirely immutable. It can be amended, but only under specific circumstances and in compliance with legal procedures. Amendments typically require shareholder
