The International Hurricane Protection Association (IHPA) strives to unite various stakeholders in the hurricane protection industry to minimize loss of life and property damage from hurricanes. Its mission is to provide quality hurricane protection through unifying suppliers, manufacturers, contractors, engineers, architects, code writers, and government officials. The IHPA represents its members on code issues and educates the public and officials on hurricane protection. It brings together professionals from across the hurricane protection field to collaborate on safety.

The IHPA strives to be the industry leader on
all issues that affect the hurricane
protection industry by unifying the
suppliers, manufacturers, contractors,
engineers, architects, code writers, and
government officials.
Provide quality hurricane protection
systems, information, and education to
insure the publics' welfare and safety,
therefore minimizing the loss of life and the
destruction of property associated with a
hurricane.
3. Code of Ethics
1) Promote respect by actions, which reflect favorably
upon our industry and my company.
2) Maintain all applicable licenses and insurance.
3) Contribute to the public health, safety and welfare
by complying with all applicable building codes,
ordinances and regulations.
4) Truthfully represent only bona fide products and
services.
5) Fulfill completely contractual and moral obligations,
keeping my agreements in both letter and spirit.
6) Affirm and encourage the American Free Enterprise
system in our industry.
7) Conduct business in a professional manner, never
demeaning the actions of others.

to promote, to the best of your abilities, the
Association's purposes and goals

• Represent and inform our membership
regarding code issues and other matters
affecting the industry.
• Educate and inform the public and
government officials regarding various types
of hurricane protection.
• Advise and guide officials in the
development of appropriate statutes,
ordinances and building codes.
• Training and education of industry
professionals.

• IHPA Members abide by a Code of Ethics
• All activities of the IHPA are conducted in
a non-competitive atmosphere of
cooperation.
• Our members represent tested and
approved hurricane protection products.

Palm Beach County, Florida.
• Our Members are located throughout
many of the states of the Continental U.S.
and Puerto Rico.

• Memberships are for the calendar year and
must be renewed each subsequent year.
