Some may think this poem is somewhat personal and shocking to read; however, it is my greatest literary pride. It describes a traumatic event that occurred to me at a young age in a foreign environment that truly changed my life. I read it aloud last year at a poetry slam and received a standing ovation. I pray it speaks to others who have experienced a similar situation and brings them hope in knowing that anything is possible to overcome.

Somethings happening.
Something I can’t see.
Can you spare a light?
I’m feeling lustrous.
I think I lost it all,
but I’m used to this.
Can I swallow them whole?
I’m dangerous.
What more do you want from me?
It’s pendulous
I can’t stop the flow.
I’m not credulous.

The Three Trees is a poetic words about the lifestyle of an adolescent in core and rural part of Africa... who finds his dream, and took a decision of living it no matter what...
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

1. If I May
If I may sit beside you,
And enjoy the lovely scenery,
Such a wondeful sight!
Don’t you love the greenery,
Glowing in the light?
Yes you may sit,
And no I do not enjoy the sight,
Rather the solemn wind blowing,
Gives me a terrible fright.
If I may ask, why is that?
Scared of a lovely breeze and the glowing sun?
Why are you scared of the wind?
Why is this place no fun?
What is troubling your mind?
Yes you may ask, though I may not know the answer,
Maybe not scare, rather a cause of concern,
Beautiful to you, a tragedy to me,
The fact you find it lovely is absurd.
If I may ask, why are you so sad?
Your view of this view so cynical,
When the world is so lovely!
To not enjoy it would be criminal,
To me your being quite silly.
2. Yes you may ask, and no I’m not sad,
I just see the world for what it is truly,
Plain, Pain, war and destruction,
I can’t fall for their lies my heart is too unruly,
If I may say, the world isn’t a shade of black and white, it’s grey!
It’s amazing how you see through their lies so vividly,
But your solemnness is turning you into a wilting rose,
You must understand that the world is a symphony!
It has its highs and lows
Yes you may say your thoughts, but If I may interrupt,
Why do you remain so optimistic?
When the world is slowly crumbling around you?
Don’t you think it’s time to be a tad bit realistic?
Of course you may, and what a good question at that!
I’d rather be optimistic than a pessimistic mess,
And I don’t care that the world is ending!
Worrying about all of that will just get you depressed,
I’d rather just live my life till my end that’s impending,
If I may ask, why are you so selfish?
Clouding your eyes from the truth purposefully?
Not doing anything to save the world?
Why did you turn your back on it remorselessly?
3. Of course you may ask, and what a difficult question you chose,
All humans are selfish even you,
I have tried to persuade them to help but I failed,
You cannot deny it for what I said is true,
I have tried to save the impossible and now my soul is crippled,
But if I may continue,
Yes, after a long fought struggle, it’s time to put it to an end,
But there are others out there will continue fighting for this world,
Brave people that I would commend,
Yes, you may continue, but I don’t agree with you,
Yes, the world is cruel and built with blood,
But you can’t just stop now!
Don’t let the others drag you through the mud,
We can save the world somehow!
I’m not done yet; If I may continue?
I’m not capable of saving this place,
And I know you’ve have tried your best,
But don’t you think stopping now would be an incredible disgrace?
Of course you may continue, but if I may say something?
For someone so pessimistic you care a lot about this world,
And you guilt over the fact you can’t do anything,
It’s okay I understand your feeling quite perturbed,
But you should sit down and let others do the healing,
4. Yes, you may continue for I find it quite soothing,
And I finally understand what you mean,
After everything we’ve tried, but to no avail,
I think it’s time the both of us just watch this lovely scene
If I may remind you my friend,
The world is a symphony and it’s a longtime before it ends,
After all that we have tried but to no avail, I think it’s time the both of us just watch this lovely
scenery,
For the people that I believe in will cause a true godsend,
And I’ll be waiting for that quite eagerly.
