IEC Technology has developed an innovative nano-material, originally created in Japan, that can efficiently clean water at low cost. The material, called Ion Energy Ceramic (IEC), is a porous ceramic that removes contaminants like oil from water. IEC plans to open manufacturing facilities in the Midwest to produce IEC at scale, creating thousands of new jobs. The company will initially market IEC for environmental cleanup and water purification applications, and projects $10.5 million in first year sales. IEC has an experienced management team with backgrounds in materials science, multimedia marketing, manufacturing, and law.
