Senator Mike Crapo, Senator Jim Risch, and Congressman Raul Labrador honored 30 recipients of the Congressional Award in Boise, Idaho for dedicating hundreds of hours to community service. The event was sponsored by Micron Technology and highlighted the Congressional Award as Congress's highest honor for youth recognizing over 780 of Idaho's youth for over 250,000 hours of community service. The Congressional Award is a non-competitive program established by Congress in 1979 to encourage participants ages 14-23 to set and achieve personal goals in community service, personal development, and citizenship.
