WORK
LIGHT: It is a type of energy
we use all the time. Through
outside all day long we get
light from the sun. Plants
can turn sunlight into useful
energy which makes them
grow food. Food gives
energy to animals and
humans so they can live.
Almost anything that move
can be used to make energy.
Heat
Light
What energy does?
Prayer wheel
rotating.
Moving prayer
flag.
Steaming soup.
Dog running.
Burning fire.
Lightning.
Airplane Flying.
 The energy is measured in joules.
 The symbol used is J.
Eg: To lift an apple upward by
one meter requires about one
joule(J) of energy.
 The energy in food is
measured in calories.
 The symbol used is cal..
Eg: A coconut has
1400 calories (cal).
DO YOU THINK WE NEED TO SAVE ENERGY?
There would
be no light to
turn on
when it gets
dark.
There would
be no heat to
warm up
when it is
cold.
We cant
work, play,
run, jump
and eat.
We wont be
able to go to
the school.
We will
always feel
sleepy and
restless.
 Energy is used all around us every day. Energy is
used by people to move, talk and play. Energy is used
by cars, radios, toys, fires and musical instruments.
There are many ways to use energy.
