IBIS VAVUNIYA is a website that provides practice papers and records sessions to help students. It is updating features to utilize new technology like adding a YouTube channel and blog. The website organizers are seeking submissions from genuine users like presentations from Sunday sessions, comments, and informative articles to continuously expand the site's educational resources. Users are encouraged to showcase their skills and talents to help the website make an impact online.
In the third instalment we present the strategy for the second wave: content. The first wave, channels (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn) will primarily be used for broadcasting the content we create at Apegroup. However, the content itself is also part of the social media, we will not own any channels.
Front-end development tools and techniques move forward at a blistering pace. Project dependencies can often be out-dated within months, while picking up a legacy codebase can feel like entering a time-warp.
So how do we build websites with the future in mind?
I’ll be taking you through how we’ve addressed these issues during the redevelopment of the JUST EAT International Platform. We’ll relive the tears I shed when being faced with a monolithic legacy codebase, what we changed to make our development process far easier to work with and how these principles can be applied to websites of any scale.
As Director Marketing, I made and used this to present NearPeer at the GSEA (Global Student Entrepreneurship Awards) in Islamabad in January 2017. It sums up a lot of NearPeer's journey well.
