YouTube has grown tremendously since its launch in 2005, with over 1 billion users watching billions of videos each day. Video streaming is expected to account for over 80% of all consumer internet traffic by 2021. While YouTube started as a platform for sharing personal videos, it is now a dominant force in media and entertainment, challenging television and generating substantial revenue through ads.
