In the early part of 1958, a nation–wide ’Talent–Hunt’ competition was organised
by the popular Filmfare magazine. X, helped along by friends, joined the
competition by fluke. After getting a call from Filmfare, she went along with her
brother to Mumbai. But to her and everyone’s surprise, she was declared as the
winner from amongst girls.
And a rugged handsome lad from an infamous village in Punjab, named Dharbinder
Singh Deol, who became famous as Dharmendra, became first amongst boys.
In the same year, one of the issues of Filmfare carried a cover story on her. A
number of X’s colour and black and white photographs were published in the front
cover and inside as well.
Paglababu was her bolly. Debut, though she was very famous in her state earlier.

X was posthumously awarded the Medal of Freedom by US President Franklin D.
Roosevelt as the first woman killed in the line of duty in World War II.
When the U.S. entered WW II , X traveled to Indiana for a war bond rally with her
mother n Y's press agent. X was able to raise over $2 million bonds in a single
evening. Her party had initially been scheduled to return to Los Angeles by train,
but she was anxious to reach home more quickly and wanted to fly by a scheduled
airline. Her mother was afraid of flying and insisted they follow their original travel
plans. X suggested they flip a coin; they agreed and X won the toss.
In the early morning hours of Jan 16, 1942, X and boarded a T&W Air Douglas DST
aircraft to return to California. It crashed into "Double Up Peak" near the 8,300-
foot level of Potosi Mountain, 32 miles of Las Vegas.
In 1983, Orson Welles claimed he had been told that X’s plane had actually been
shot down by American Nazi sympathizers.

as a former confidence trickster, check forger,
and impostor between the ages of 15 and 21.
He became one of the most famous impostors ever,
claiming to have assumed no fewer than eight identities,
including an airline pilot, a physician, a U.S. Bureau of
Prisons agent, and a lawyer. He escaped from police
custody twice before he was 21 years old. He served less
than 5 years in prison before starting to work for the
federal government. He is currently a consultant and
lecturer for the FBI academy and field offices. He also
runs X & Associates, a financial fraud consultancy
company.

picture in the summer of 1958.The musicians had gathered at 17 East 126th

novelist, travel writer, and journalist, who
is now considered one of the greatest war
correspondents of the 20th century.
She was the only woman to land at
Normandy on D-Day on June 6, 1944.
She reported on virtually every major
world conflict that took place during her
60-year career. Gellhorn was also the third
wife of American novelist Y, from 1940 to
1945.
The Martha Gellhorn Prize for Journalism is
named after her.
X & Gellhorn is an HBO biopic film about
the lives of them, directed by Philip
Kaufman,Telling the story of one of
America’s most famous literary couples.

Commissioner of Police, Mumbai.
In the movie Black Friday, actor Kay Kay
Menon plays the role of X.
In the film's timeline (after 1993 Bomb
Blasts), he was the Deputy

the investigation.
Nana Patekar also played his role in Ram
Gopal Varma film The Attacks of
26/11. In this movie, Rakesh Maria is
portrayed as a Senior officer during
2008 Mumbai attacks.

In Chicago, at the time of the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition,
Holmes opened a hotel which he had designed and built for himself

He brought an unknown number of his victims to his World's Fair Hotel,
