This document discusses a hackathon organized by RazorfishNeev's Hybris Center of Excellence in Bangalore. One of the teams developed an add-on called "Split Payments in Hybris" which allows customers to split an order payment across multiple payment options like credit cards, store credits, and gift cards. The add-on creates multiple transactions for the order and supports integrations with payment gateways. It provides a generic payment model for different payment types and allows associating multiple payment information with a cart or order in Hybris.

5. An Opportunity to Learn, Collaborate, Innovate, Implement
• A Hackathon provides an opportunity to developers to bring their idea
into reality which could change the world. At Neev, this is the third time
we are organizing a Hackathon.
• RazorfishNeev Hybris Centre of Excellence (COE) in Bangalore
organized a focused Hackathon with an aim to augment the Hybris
capabilities and creating a few useful add-ons.
• The Hackathon encouraged participants to understand various design
aspects of Hybris and then pick one of the module, change it, extend it
and make it more useful.
• The participating teams built systems which can be showcased on the
Hybris Global Marketplace.
• The Hackathon had 4 teams competing against each other over a
weekend filled with fun and excitement.
• 3 Add-ons and a Hybris custom accelerator took shape from being an
idea to becoming a reality.

• E-commerce websites today have evolved to have multiple ways to pay for
an order from the traditional credit card payment to more modern methods
such as store credits and gift cards .
• Split payments would enable the user to make payments of varied amounts
using any one or multiple payment options that are stored with their
account.

• An Addon that would provide the Base for Hybris to Implement Multi-
payments.
• Made a Generic Payment Info Model that all other Payment Information can
make use of.
• Changed Hybris’s Cart and Order to accept a list Payment Information.
• Added the Generic Payment Info Model to the list of Payments associated
with the Cart and the Order.
• Customized splitting of logic between the various Payment Options
• Created multiple transactions per payment info selected.
