Hungkar Dorje Rinpoche is the abbot of Lung Ngön Monastery in Golog, Tibet, where he teaches Buddhist sutras and tantras to around 1,000 monks. He has established the first nunnery in the region and a technical school providing free education to 1,000 students. Rinpoche also organizes free food, clothing and medical aid distributions several times per year to monks, nuns, the poor and elderly. In addition, he works to establish compassion for all beings and advocates for vegetarianism, non-violence and environmental protection.
