Human resource management involves acquiring, training, appraising, and compensating employees. It refers to continuously finding, selecting, evaluating, and developing relationships with current and future employees to fill roles in a company. A human resource department is responsible for keeping employees safe, healthy, and satisfied through workplace policies. The scope of human resource management includes human resource planning, job analysis, recruitment, selection, training, performance appraisal, compensation, motivation, welfare, health and safety, and industrial relations. Staffing is affected by various external factors like political, economic, socio-cultural, legal, and customer factors as well as internal factors such as organizational business plans, size, image, changes in employee roles, and education.
