A small group from the expedition set out to explore the place
but had to retreat due to extreme temperatures.
Roald set out again with 4 other people on 19th of October.
Using the route Axel Heiberg Glacier, they arrived at the
edge of the Polar Plateau on 21st of November.
The team made it to the Pole on 14th of December.

Time: 3rd of June 1910 from Oslo, on the ship Fram
Nearly 6 months later, Roald and the others arrived at
the Eastern edge of the Ross Ice Shelf.
