CURRICULUM GUIDE FOR
B.S. Human Dimensions of Natural Resources
With an emphasis on the social aspects of conservation issues, this major prepares students for professional positions with public, private, and non-governmental
organizations that relate to the management and conservation of natural resources. Curriculum for this major will train students in the areas of communication,
leadership, collaborative conservation, conflict management, stakeholder processes, public relations, social science concepts and methodologies for
conservation, environmental governance, planning and policy, ecosystem services, and protected area and land management practices. Program requirements
and course prerequisites/schedules will change periodically. It is the student’s responsibility to check with their advisor each semester. (Total credits =
120).
