The Hub Talks also featured discussions with Christoph Chorherr on his projects in education and sustainability. The Hub encouraged members to take advantage of the working space during August and strategized ways to be productive and meet new people.
The Hub Vienna summer newsletter provides information about events and opportunities at the Hub over July and August. It encourages members to explore new fields, share knowledge and expertise, and connect with others. A variety of events are scheduled, including World Cuisine dinners showcasing different cultures, member slots to share expertise and ideas, and open space discussions on topics proposed by members. The goal is to learn, work, and network in a stimulating environment over the summer months.

This document is a transcript of a presentation on the changing landscape of documentary filmmaking given by the director of EDN. In the presentation, the director discusses their experience first as a documentary producer, then as a commissioning editor at a public broadcaster. As a producer, they were able to build a career relying on public and television funding. However, as a commissioning editor, they saw the industry changing - competition was increasing, public broadcasters were prioritizing more commercial content, and commissioning editors had less autonomy. Meanwhile, the internet was emerging as a new platform that broadcasters wanted to control through rights, though its potential was not yet realized. The director argues that the industry is facing disruption but also opportunities to adapt

David Hockney is an artist who pioneered the use of iPads and iPhones in his artwork. While some viewed this as non-traditional, Hockney found new creative possibilities through digital tools. The integration of technology challenges notions of what art is and expands artistic expression. Hockney's iPad works demonstrate how technology can be used innovatively in art rather than just replicating traditional techniques. This challenges the view that art must be tied to tradition to have meaning.
An invite to creative thinkers who want to meet other, more diverse creative people and collaborate on briefs for social change. First event planned in NY for May/June but looking for more willing accomplices...
The document discusses an individual who has realized that the culture of their workplace conflicts with their personal values, as they have noticed organizational values that contrast with their beliefs, such as in a union environment where they have low positional power as the library Director. GiveCamp braucht dich!
