What is HTML?

HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup
Language

HTML tags are added to Web documents to
control their layout and appearance.

Hypertext is non-linear, the reader can
follow links, jumping from page to page.

Linear text is read from start to finish.

It is easily understandable and can
modification can be done.

EDITORS
For every language, we have editors. For
HTML also have the editors:

For windows: NOTEPAD

For LINUX OS’s: Geany, TextEditor, even
with Terminal.
The file that can be saved as “filename.html”

USES

Used to create the web pages.


TABLE tag

Table tag is used to create the table.

In this we have rows and columns.


It is used to divide the two pages in a single
page.

It is used for the comparision.

AUDIO TAG

It is used to play the audio file in the
particular page.

When ever we require the audio in the audi
tag is used to implement the audio.

VIDEO & IMAGE TAGES

Video and image tags are used to display
the required image or video.
Syntax: <video control=”path”> </video>
<image control=”path”> </image>

FORMS TAG
Syntax: <form action=” ” method =” ”>

ANCHOR TAG
Syntax: <a href=” w3. Swecha.org“>swecha
</a>

LIST TAGS

3 Types:
1. order list (or) Number list [ol]
2. Unorder list (or) Bulllet list [ul]
3. Descripted list (or) Definition list [dl]




