What is Axis-360?
Axis 360 is offered through Baker
and Taylor.
 Axis 360 is a digital media platform
that supplies libraries “a state of the
art system for circulating digital
books and audiobooks” (Baker &
Taylor, 2013).
This platform works with many
mobile devices especially the Kindle
Fire.
At JGRLS, the digital media
platform is accessed through Blio, a
free E-book reading app.

Steps for Obtaining Free E-Books for Kindle Fire
The Kindle Fire Set-Up
is Completed in Steps.
1. Google account set-up
and Library card with pin
number obtained.
2. Blio app downloaded.
3. Blio account created.
4. Magic Wall Log-In.
5. Search for book. Check
out book.
6. Blio app opened, Blio
signed-in, book
downloaded, reading
began.

1. Google Account & JGRLS-East Central
Library Card Information
In order to get e-books
from East Central Public
Library, you must:
Obtain library card and pin
number from JGRLS-East
Central.
Set up a Google Account by
going to
https://accounts.google.com/Si
gnUp?continue=https%3A%2F
%2Faccounts.google.com%2F
ManageAccount and follow
instructions!

2. Blio Downloaded via Kindle Fire
Next, to download Blio to your Kindle Fire account
Click on „House‟ icon on home screen located on the lower left
of the screen.
Next, select „Settings‟ icon.
Once on the „settings page‟, select „More‟.
Then select „Device‟.
To download app, you must select “ON” next to the “Allow
Installation of Applications”. Optional: Can turn off after
downloading app to protect Kindle Fire for further unwanted
downloads from other sites.

Return to Home using House icon again on Kindle
Fire device.
Select „Web‟.
To get the app, enter the URL titled
http://bits.blioreader.com/update
Next, several files will be viewable. Select „KNFB Blio‟.
Once the orange bar finishes loading, a number will be
seen in the upper left-hand corner.

Select this number. The download will begin.
Next, select „KNFB Blio Download Complete‟.
The Permissions screen appears. Select „Install‟. Then
click „Done‟ at the bottom of the screen after the „Install
Complete‟ appears.

3. Blio Account Created
 Select the House Icon .
The Blio icon is now displayed in the carousel.
To start up the app, select the blio icon .
Once Blio is launched, go to Blio.com and set up an account at
https://www.blio.com/blio/screens/account/signin.jsp
Continue to your library at Axis 360 located on East Central
Public Library homepage at Jackson-George Regional Library
System at http://jgrls.axis360.baker-taylor.com/.

4. Axis 360 Magic Wall
Magic Wall Log-in
Type URL
http://jgrls.axis360.baker-
taylor.com/Account/LogOn
Log in with library card (all
capitals letters and no
spaces, include any
character that may appear
at the end of the library card
number).
Type in assigned PIN
number.
After Log-in
Find a book by browsing the
Magic Wall to see if the book
is available and to make
sure it is available through
the App Blio.
Once a book is selected,
three choices are given. The
first choice is „add to
checkout list.
The second choice is
„Checkout Now‟.
The third choice is „add to
wish list‟.

5. Search for an e-Book. This is a picture of what the
options are. Remember to make sure the Blio oval is filled
in.

Magic Wall Checkout – After Log-In
For fast readers, the first option „Add to checkout list‟ is the
best. Checkouts are limited to two at a time and for three
weeks unless set differently. Books automatically drop on last
day of checkout.
Once added to checkout list, scroll to top and select „cart‟ icon
„My Checkout List‟ . .
A blue scrollbar appears under the book information. Select
gray end of scrollbar and move to left. This decreases the time
the book is checked out. Time can be set from one day to
twenty-one days.
Once checkout time is set, scroll to bottom of screen and select
„confirm checkout‟.

6. Blio App Sign-in
To read the e-book, click
on house icon and
select the Blio app icon.
Sign in with email and
password.
The book will load.
Click on the book to open
and begin to read.
