This complaint alleges civil rights violations and other claims against Hertz car rental and several of its employees, as well as Facebook. It states that Hertz employees posted racist, threatening, and discriminatory comments about the plaintiff, Maurice Howard, on Facebook. The complaint alleges the posts disclosed private financial information about Howard's car rentals and credit card usage with Hertz. It further alleges Hertz is vicariously liable for the employees' actions under the doctrine of respondeat superior. The complaint also claims a Hertz district manager negligently supervised employees and showed favoritism. Facebook is alleged to have been grossly negligent in failing to properly supervise its social media platform to prevent such harmful content. The plaintiff seeks damages and asks the court to take
