1. How to work the HTML
VERSION
The idea behind operating the HTML version of the tool
2. The basic idea behind the HTML system.
For over a year been mapping out advertised missing people cases around Australia using
social media, police, federal police, media release and other sources. Used EXCEL to collect
the data into various fields as well as referencing them into an EXCEL sheet called “the tool”.
Have been noticing that VIC police have not got a enquiry set up yet compared to NSW police
or a listing of missing people posters like QLD police.
So using the data from the EXCEL sheet been creating a basic HTML tool dubbed “HTML
system”.
The information displayed there came from EXCEL sheet which in turn been transferred to
the HTML system. By having it in a HTML format it allows people to view displayed appeals
longer than 7 day limit due to legal reasons VIC police will have to remove from their
postings.
So the information regarding 2016/ 2015 and other
appeals including updates are hard to come so there
is difficulty to verify updates. So hopefully having
something like this in place will help to raise
awareness on various appeals.
3. How the HTML system should work –
Differences between this and existing
systems.
The HTML system is similar to other existing systems but with four changes which are the following:
(1) The system is for Victoria state (can be modified for other states if needed).
(2) The gender is broken down to age groups which are the following:
Male/ female - ages between 19 to above 65.
Male/ female teenagers - ages between 13 to 18.
Male/ female children - ages between 0 to 13.
All appeals are divided into and grouped into one of these 6 sections.
(3) All appeals are linked by postcode. By pressing postcode link should get a list of displayed appeals that went missing in that
specific postcode. The google map attachment will allow someone to look at the area.
(4) All appeals are linked by year or group of years when the person is missing. By pressing the year that the person is missing a list
of displayed appeals within that time period will be displayed.
5. Online examples
Attaching over Melbourne 3000 postcode HTML as an example as it got 17
names so it its good example of finding specific data.
By using columns you can get specific details through filtering.
By using text search find what information you want.
The google map attachment should work to get a view of the area.
By using postcode or year link you can get what information you want. Sorry
the links and photos do not work as the links attached iis based on my
computer set-up but finding specific data will work.
I sending over 2015 listing of displayed appeals for time line display (just
remember its needs to be verified please) and four specific name to show
how it looks like. From these examples it would show how everything is
connected together.
