Editor's Notes

  • #2 Once everyone is seated and has signed in I hand out a clip board with “A Wish List”, Wholesale/Retail Price Sheet, 4 page Enrollment Kit Flyer and Wellness Advocate Agreement Form. I would have at least the top 10 essential oils near you for passing around! **This class concept has been shared amongst leaders that are cooperative and collaborative, rather than competitive. It’s awesome to be a part of a company where the leaders share their ideas so freely. Thanks to the Diamonds that shared their original idea and this is my version with a few tweeks :)
  • #3 The Product Guide trains us in the language of Structure and Function also. This helps us develop the proper dialogues with others. Notice the beautiful descriptions of the oils given in the product guide. They guide the new person to find an oil for their needs. More powerful than that are the words guide them to find an oil for their WANTS. Where do they want their health to go? One of the diamonds using this class refers to it as an evening of Wonder ( I wonder what will work for me?) and Discovery (we don't have to talk all the time) She suggests “playing” with the oils a lot. Your guests are curious about a description, they smell it – you put the oil on them, and talk about how you use that oil, etc. Make it experiential and fun.
  • #4 Invite your team members to split the cost of 250 guides. Enrollment Kit Flyers, WA Agreements, Price Lists can be downloaded from doterratools.com. They are also available as part of the Class in a Box. The documents that come in the Class in a Box are a modified version I personally like the full versions of the price list and enrollment kits.
  • #5 I’m going to walk you through how you would teach this simple class using the dōTERRA product guide. Your guests will be flipping through the guide as you teach, being exposed to all the products in a way that is clear, educational and completely compliant. 3 thoughts you would like your guests to leave with... 1) I want to come back and learn more 2) I am in safe hands 3) I have what I need to get started
  • #6 You can also teach this class using videos from the class in a box DVD just be prepared in case the technology is not available or fails. You would simply choose which videos to use and show them at the appropriate time. If you choose to show the in the intro, what are the oils, why dōTERRA and maybe 2-3 product videos then wait to pass out the product guides until AFTER showing the DVD. But next we will go through how to do this class without the videos, which is the simplest and most duplicable way to teach.
  • #7 You’ll also notice as we go through this that I will frequently be referring to the “Top 10 Oils” and not saying “Family Physician’s Kit”… When you select the oils to discuss at the class, be sure to include many of these. Build value in these oils, because it will create value in the enrollment kits at the end – since every kit contains these oils. I do also make reference to oils that I personally have experiences that are not a part of the top 10 to add interest in the larger kits!
  • #8 Welcome guests and introduce yourself. You may also want to share your “why” I also like to have everyone give a 1-2 minute introduction of themselves and their level of essential oils knowledge.
  • #9 •Pass out and Introduce the Product Guide and if you choose to use the clip boards also pass them out at this time. •It is theirs to keep, suggest they take notes in it. •Help them feel confident that, using this guide, they’ll be able to begin using their oils immediately.
  • #10 Introduction to doTERRA– (don’t read the information out loud – summarize it in your own words. Some suggested verbiage: ~dōTERRA is a health and wellness company specializing in medicinal quality essential oils. ~dōTERRA just turned 7 years, old, we are now the largest essential oil company in the world. ~The name doTERRA means “Gift of the Earth” ~dōTERRA’S Mission is to EMPOWER people with natural solutions that are SAFE and EFFECTIVE for the entire family!
  • #11 Again, don’t read – summarize. ~Volatile aromatic compounds that serve specific purposes vital to a plant's survival (plant extracts) ~Provide protective, reproductive and regenerative purposes to the plant….. ward off pests, heal the plant from infection and help heal from physical injury. ~What they do for the plant, they can do for us too! ~Thousands of identified aromatic compounds, each with it’s own medicinal benefit. Very versatile. ~Essential oils have been used throughout history, in many cultures, for their medicinal benefit. Plant based medicine is the ORIGINAL medicine. ~EXPERIENCE Peppermint do one drop in each person’s palm tell them to rub hands together and hold over nose, breath deeply. (be sure to explain not to touch eyes) ~Then do the same with Wild Orange
  • #12 •Quality matters (purity and potency)… especially when used for healthcare management. •Not all oils are created equal. I would also state that every thing you state tonight is in regards to dōTERRA oils only! •Many oils out there contain synthetics/artificial fillers in them which increases yield, but diminishes purity •dōTERRA oils are CPTG: •Plants grown in optimal soil, temperature, climate (produces a higher quality oil, just as nature intended) •Harvested at the proper stage •Rigorous 3rd party testing standards •Guaranteed we are getting the oil in the purest form, nothing added, nothing taken away •This is also where you would want to mention co-impact sourcing, and doTERRA’s commitment to sustainability, fair trade, and making the world a better place.
  • #13 •Page 6 is where you explain the usage charts and cover essential oil safety. •Using essential oils is easy - No matter what oil you pick, even if it’s not the oil you need, you’ve still provided positive benefits to the body.
  • #14 Catalog page 28-29 •Go through A, T, I benefits •Aromatic – breathing, mood, clearing the air – diffusers. •Topical benefit = bonding w/family - point out FCO and Hand/Body lotion •Internal: glass/stainless steel cup •Point out Retail/Wholesale pricing. (Everyone is eligible for wholesale)
  • #15 One of the top 10 oils! Pass around the oil. Invite a guest to read the bullet points (group participation), or you share them. Share a personal experience with the oil
  • #16 Pick a few oils to spotlight from the catalog and to pass around during the class. The catalog has really great descriptions that are 100% compliant. These descriptions guide them in their healthcare discoveries to not only meet their needs but also guides them to think of their wants (where they want to go).
  • #18 On Guard – another top 10 oil! (pass around / share benefits) It’s such a popular blend, and so beneficial for our immune system that doTERRA has created a whole range of products containing it. I love that doTERRA offers choices… those who want to are able to use the oils to create their own shampoo, laundry detergent, toothpaste, cleansers, facial products from scratch. But I don’t have time for that! So I’m excited that doTERRA has created so many safe and innovative product infused with the oils, so I can benefit from them without having to make them myself.
  • #19 Even though you obviously won’t be talking about all the products DōTERRA has to offer, your attendees will be flipping through their catalogs during the class – they will be exposed to more products than what you discuss, making notes and circling things they may be interested in.

  • #21 Give a brief description of the Loyalty Rewards Program. Discuss the benefits and savings by ordering monthly. Be VERY clear that there is ABSOLUTELY NO Obligation to purchase. Program can be changed or cancelled up until 24 hours before it is set to process. They can change the date that it is set to process but you should encourage them to pick a date prior to the 15th (that’s not blacked out) in case they want to take advantage of the Free Product of the Month) Explain that if there are items that they would like to get in addition to their enrollment kit but not at this time that it would be much easier for you to set up their LRP order for next month & they would still have the opportunity to go in and change the order. If they have any concerns reassure them that you would be happy to help them should they have any trouble figuring it out! Be clear that they cannot place an LRP order the same month that they enroll. Also you qualify for the Product of the Month with an LRP order not an enrollment order over 125pv. Free POM only is available on LRP orders. When you follow up in 2 weeks with them and if they have not set up an LRP I would go over the benefits again so they don’t get confused and place a standard order. Especially if they have enrolled with the Natural Solutions Kit or higher and need to place a qualifing 100pv LRP the month following enrolling to get there free additional LRP Credits!
  • #22 If you are ready to begin a natural wellness lifestyle, here are the ways you can bring these products into your home: You can purchase at retail – But the smartest You can enroll with $35 - like a Costco membership - and get everything at wholesale for 25% off. Or, the best value is to choose a getting started package (or enrollment kit/enrollment package) which offers more savings, and the $35 is waived (have them pull out their enrollment kit papers). There are packages for every budget, and they all include our top 10 oils... it just depends on what size bottles you want, and what other innovative products you’d like to try. My favorite for new users is the Natural Solutions Kit because you get a FREE diffuser, $150 in free product and 100 free bonus points! Also point out the savings on the kits in the green circles. Look them over and decide which option is the best for you and your family.
  • #23 Invite them to come sample oils, ask questions, have a snack. Give them some time to look through the catalog and review the kit options. Often, as they are given time to quietly look at the descriptions of oils and sniff from the oils on the table they are all sitting around, they circle what stands out to them. They find oils for their friends. They write their names next to that oil so they don't forget. Voila. On their own, the list of those they will blab this info to the next day is created. And they blab on their own! Without a challenge from you! The simpler we make it- the easier it moves!
  • #24 As you meet with guests individually, ask them: Would it be ok… Which of these options… and then BE QUIET. Help them enroll!
  • #25  They OWN the knowledge at this point. Oils are circled for themselves and people they want to share with. They can share the day they get their new oils – and what a great idea to encourage them to invite a friend over when the doTERRA order arrives to "figure out these oils” together ! Using the guide, your new advocate will repeat and share what she just went through a few days later. But she’s doing it on her own – without any prompting from you. Free, natural sharing as they learn how to use the oils together. Can you see the potential here?
