I. LOOK INTO THE EYES OF YOURSELF – V.16 • Have the courage to confront • Talk to the Person Personally • Proverbs 27:5-7 KJV II. LOOK INTO THE EYES OF OTHERS – V.22-23 • The eastern tribes do what we should all do when we are misunderstood: • put ourselves in the shoes of the other person and try to see what they see. • If we saw what they saw, we might respond in the same way. III. LOOK INTO THE EYES OF GOD – V. 31 • The explanation of the eastern tribes is accepted by the western tribes. • Phinehas could see that the LORD was among us, • because unity had been restored among the people of Israel. • This fulfilled the passage from Psalm 133:1: • Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! Joshua Chapter 22
1. Joshua thanks the 2 ½ Tribe for the Job Well Done (v.1-4)
2. Before they leave, Joshua gives them Exhortation
and Blessings (v. 5-6)
3. They Depart with much riches and spoil (v.7-9)

6. • 10 And when they came unto the borders of Jordan, that
are in the land of Canaan, the children of Reuben and the
children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh built there
an altar by Jordan, a great altar to see to.
• 11 And the children of Israel heard say, Behold, the
children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half
tribe of Manasseh have built an altar over against the land
of Canaan, in the borders of Jordan, at the passage of the
children of Israel.

congregation of the children of Israel gathered
themselves together at Shiloh, to go up to war against
