To perform a back flip safely, follow nine steps: 1) Find a soft open area to practice, 2) Stretch thoroughly beforehand, 3) Commit fully without fear, 4) Stand upright with arms above head and feet shoulder-width apart, 5) Squat and swing arms down and back before exploding upwards, 6) Time the jump to flip backwards at the peak, 7) Tuck knees into chest during the flip, 8) Stretch out legs three-fourths through the flip to land on feet, and 9) Bend legs on landing to soften the impact.
