2. Synopsis…
This story is about a man who met his doppelganger; A ghostly
double of a living person. John Taylor wasan Englishcomputer
programmer who worked in Budapest, Hungary, and livedthere with his
wife, Andrea and daughter, Kati.
He waswalking home from work one day when he bumped into
his doppelganger. John believed the doppelganger had come to give him
a message. John did some research and found that a man, with a name
similar to him, had lived in that area many years ago along with a wife
and daughter – whose names were also Andrea and Kati.
The person's wife and daughter were killed, lured in atragedy.
The timely warning from John's doppelganger saved John's wife and
daughter from a similarfate.

11. Chapter 7 : Doppelganger

12. 1) John’s life goes back to normal afterthat.
2) He does not have the
strange dreams any more.

13. 3) One day Andrea comes home and announce that she is pregnant.
They are overjoyed.

14. 4) Thenext day, she loses her job
teachingfifteenhours a weekat thebank

15. John tells Zsolt, the café owner, about Andrea’s predicament
“I can get usedto some jobvacancies here inmy café,
Butit was notmuch a jobforan intelligentlady
likeyour wife.”

“Don’t worry. I’ll tell Andrea about your offer.
She’ll be glad.”

16. 6) He offers a job to Andrea and she accepts it.
7) The business at the café soon improves.
5) Coincidentally,Zsolt is looking for someone to help himat the
café. Hefeels thatit needs a woman’s touch.

17. 8) Oneday, Johnreads about lifeafter death.
He comes across theword ‘doppelganger’.

18. Doppelganger; a German word for a
ghostlydouble of a living person.

19. 9) A doppelganger usuallycomes to give a message about danger
or offer advice. It can only be seen by its owner.
10) But it can also beseen by someone
close if it has an important message.

20. John believes he hasseen his doppelganger but wonders why.

21. John shows Andrea the pagefrom the book

22. “Well, it sounds like it, doesn’t it?.”

23. Chapter 8 : A Holiday

24. 1) On 16th September, the baby is born. They name her Kati.

25. 1) Johnand Andrea decideto celebrate
Christmasin England withJohn’s parents.
3) Everyone ishappy, especially with the new baby.

26. 4) For some time, John forgets
his doppelganger.

27. Paul is one of hisclosest friend
back at school
5) That night, John meets anold friend, Paul Harris, a journalist…

28. “Therewas a story about the same thing- doppelgangers,
and people meeting themselves- in oneof the magazines
I write for.”

34. 1) John does not dream about the man since Katiwas born. But from 11th January,
he startshaving the dream again.

35. He is afraid and stays awake.

36. 2 ) John checks his diary and finds out thathe methimselfon
Monday 18th January theprevious year.

37. 3)The next day, he tells Andrea that hedreamt of the man again and that the date,
18th January is very important.

38. 3) ButAndrea gets angry because she thinkshe is irresponsible!

39. Katicries like she understands that her father and mother is unhappy

40. 4) On Friday,16th January,John asksAndreato go toFelka Utcaon18th Januarywith him.
“Andrea, I need you to come with me.
I need to knowwhatyou see,”
