A small agricultural business uses FME to streamline job processing and reporting which saves them 250 hours per year. FME allows them to download shapefiles and metadata from an API. It then transforms and joins the spatial data with information from their accounting system. This updated information is written back to SQL for reporting and the accounting system is also updated. FME also pulls data from a spatial database, joins it with invoice info, and writes a print formatted HTML report with an interactive map using Mapbox Leaflet. This new automated process with FME expedites what was previously a manual, time-consuming workflow.

By accessing bike usage and weather data through APIs and analyzing the data using open source tools, the presentation identified relationships between higher bike usage, warm weather with more available bikes, and different locations around Helsinki. The takeaways were on evaluating data accessibility, suitable sample sizes, and using multiple tools to analyze spatial data accessed through APIs.

When customers ask for regular reports of data usage and workloads, how do you respond? FME (Safe Software) is the "Go To" tool for automating and scheduling the count and difference of data, generating reports and creating a deliverable. This presentation will show how an automated process was created in a short time to provide a hands-off solution that meets the customers weekly needs using FME desktop and server.

The Town of East Gwillimbury is experiencing dramatic urban growth that will persist over the next few years. The Town wanted to visualize, monitor and report on the status of new development thereby assisting staff to effectively manage workflows: Commence road patrols for maintenance, snow removal, garbage collection, fire break allocations and monitoring.
In an effort to effectively service the growth that is occurring and plan for the future, staff need data to make intelligence-based decisions and create effective workflows.
The result is a web-based enterprise solution powered by FME and Esri servers that provides corporate-wide visualization and quantitative information on current development status:

Users will be able to answer questions, such as “Where are all the vehicles in my fleet at this moment?” and “Are my field personnel working within the designated project area”? They'll be able to tell a customer that the delivery truck is 10 minutes away, get notified when a certain type of vehicle enters a dangerous area, alert the five nearest responders when an incident occurs, be warned when equipment begins operating abnormally, and even be able to monitor lightning strikes, among other uses.
GeoEvent Processor for Server makes it possible to use GIS features as geofences and create these on the fly. ArcGIS GeoEvent Processor is a new ArcGIS for Server extension. It gives users the ability to connect to real-time data streams from a wide variety of sensors, perform continuous processing and analysis of those data streams, and send relevant information to users or other systems.

Integrating Sanitary Televising Data with Utility GIS Data
In 2011-12 the City of Ashland Public Works department invested in televising trouble spots and areas of concern of their sanitary collection system. In two years about 22% of the City’s sanitary lines and manholes were comprehensively inventoried. The City selected a contractor to inventory and televise its sanitary system to comply with NASSCO standards and provide a fully digital inventory dataset that included video, reports, and tabular data of inspections. By leveraging the City’s current GIS inventory of is sanitary infrastructure, the projects were able to be completed on time, in budget, and performed accurately. The results were able to be quantified quickly, evaluated for quality of work and put to use immediately for capital improvement planning, customer relations, operations planning and infrastructure inventory updates. Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
