2. Did you ever feel like foot was stuffed with pins and needles? Everyone has experienced this funny feeling at least once in life!
3. Basically, pins and needles appear as a result of the way our body’s blood circulates. Each time bent uncomfortably for too long, it squashes our nerves and temporarily slows the circulation of blood in that area.
4. But your body’s heart still beats regularly and the blood flows normally elsewhere in your body, causing a traffic jam! Think of a sand castle at the beach: even though we try to protect it with barriers, sooner or later, the waves come crashing through!
5. When you uncross your legs or change position, all that blood waiting to circulate engulfs the veins with such force that it irritates our nerve endings and causes an uncomfortable prickly sensation, like a bunch of pins and needles are coursing through your foot.
6. Until normal circulation is restored, there’s not much you can do about it: massaging it, dancing around, or jumping up and down like a grasshopper won’t make it go away any faster!
