How do you set up a virtual classroom?

Once a virtual classroom has been created, here is what it
contains:

                              Navigation buttons
                                      Return to home page of blog
                                      Possibility of adding more pages

                              Title selected by teacher

                              Quick access for publishing posts

                              Recent comments on posts published on this blog

                              Posts published by the teacher, access to comments

                              What’s newly published in Spotlight on Youth


                              Blog list with important links
Publication of posts
1-   Teachers click on the button Publish a post
     and, using an identification, they are
     connected to the site.
2-   They compose a post addressed to their
     students, click on a category of post linked to
     the virtual classroom’s blog, then click Publish.
3-   To advance further with published posts,
     teachers can explore different possibilities for
     editing their texts.
Moderating comments
1-   Teachers click on the button Publish a post
     and, using an identification, are connected.
2-   Once inside the Dashboard, they select the
     tab Comments situated in the left-hand
     column.
3-   They have access to all the comments waiting
     to be moderated. Teachers select Approve,
     Delete, etc.
Modifying posts
1-   Teachers select the post they wish to modify.
2-   They click on Edit this page situated at the
     bottom of the post.
     This option appears only once the teacher is connected.
3-   Teachers modify the post, and click on
     Update.
Delete a post
1-   Teachers select the post they wish to delete.
2-   They click on Edit this page situated at the
     bottom of the post.
     This option appears only once the teacher is connected.
3-   They select Place in garbage.
Support for teachers

                       One section of the Teachers’ Room is
                       dedicated to Virtual Classrooms. Teachers
                       will find resources, ideas for activities, and
                       reflections from experienced teachers that
                       might help guide and support them.

                       The section Virtual Classrooms is
                       accessible from the block I transfer of the
                       Teachers’ Room.
Note:
This brief presentation only provides the very basic
elements of a virtual classroom. Virtual classrooms can
be improved, personalized, amplified, etc. according to
the pedagogical needs of individual teachers.
