attract/address your
audience?

Questionnaire
 First of all by using Survey Monkey I created a
questionnaire which I got my audience to complete
which helped my to find out what they wanted.
I found that…
 When I asked what other content my audience were
looking for the majority responded with Fashion.
Therefore I knew it was important to incorporate this in
to my magazine.
Evidence
 I made a reference to a fashion section of my magazine
on my contents page which will keep them engaged in
reading my magazine.
Then I found…
 I asked whether the audience would prefer a
weekly, fortnightly or monthly magazine. I found they
would prefer monthly, I think this is because it is more
cost effective and with a monthly magazine you get
more content.
Evidence
 Taking on this feedback I made it clear my magazine
was monthly by putting ‘January 2013’ near my
masthead. It was important that my magazine was
based in January as most of the content revolved
around previewing the year.
Furthermore…
 I asked whether the audience thought it was important
my magazine had a website. The overwhelming response
was yes, this is important as it branches out your
magazine to other media such as YouTube and social
network sites like Twitter, Facebook etc.
Evidence
 To make the audience aware of the website I included a
link at the bottom of my contents page. This can help to
collect subscriptions and keep the audience interested
in your magazine.
