NDA stands for National Defense Academy is the place where the brave hearts of the Indian Army are
shaped up. It is a service academy of Indian Armed Forces where candidates are trained for the Air
Force, the Navy and the Army.
NDA exams are conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and issuing guidelines for
selection with the conduction of finally entrance examination. The examination is held two times in a
year in the month of April and August or September. There is a certain eligibility criteria for NDA
examination as 10+2 and 10+1 candidates can only apply with the age of 16.5 to 19 at the time of
commencement of training.
NDA exam comprises of two sections such as mathematics of 300 marks and general ability test of 600
marks i.e. total 900 marks. Both the section is of objective type having four options and you need to
choose the correct one. Examination paper will be set in English as well as in Hindi language. Calculators
and other devices are not allowed in this exam and the duration is around 2 hours and 30 minutes for
each section of paper.
