This document discusses the benefits of having hope in Jesus. It states that hope in Jesus will save us, keep us pure, help us endure trials, serve as an anchor for the soul, save us from God's wrath, produce joy, bring God's favor and mercy upon us, bless us, and bring health. Having hope in Jesus is also what Christians need to give to the world by explaining the reason for the hope within them.

1. Hope in Jesus 1. Hope in Jesus “Saves us” – Romans 8:24 – “For we are saved by hope.”

2. Hope in Jesus 2. Hope in Jesus – will “Keep us Pure” – 1 John 3:1-3 – “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he (Jesus) shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is. 3 And every man that hath this hope in Him (Jesus) purifieth himself, even as He (Jesus) is pure.”

Hope in Jesus - will Help us to – “ Endure Trials and Tribulations” – Romans 5:1-5 -“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only so, but we glory in Tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope : 5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”

4. Hope in Jesus 4. Hope in Jesus - will Serve as an “Anchor of the Soul” – That is both “Sure and Steadfast” – (Heb 6:18)

Hope in Jesus - will “Save us from the Wrath to Come” – Romans 5:6-11 – “For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.”

6. Hope in Jesus 6. Hope in Jesus – will “Produce in us Joy” – Romans 12:12 – “ Rejoicing in hope”. Psalm 146:5 – “ Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God.” Proverbs 10:28 – “ The hope of the righteous shall be gladness.”

7. Hope in Jesus 7. Hope in Jesus – brings – “The Favor of God upon us” – Psalm 33:18 – “ Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy .”

8. Hope in Jesus 8. Hope in Jesus – brings – “The Mercy of God upon us” – Psalm 33:22 – “ Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.”

9. Hope in Jesus 9. Hope in Jesus – brings – “The Blessings of God upon us” – Jeremiah 17:7 – “ Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.”

10. Hope in Jesus 10. Hope in Jesus – brings – “Health to our Countenance” – In Psalm 43:5 – David declared - “ Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.”

11. Hope in Jesus 11. Hope in Jesus - is what we as Christians – “ Need to give to the World” – 1 Peter 3:15 - “ Sanctify the Lord God in our hearts: that we might be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in us with meekness and fear.”
