Projects & Action Items Description
20 Inventory vacant property
In town and village, develop an inventory of vacant property and provide this list to
local IDA for marketing the region. Create database to be updated anually. Provide
to IDA and regional ED partners.
20 Market low-cost space to startups and entrepenuers
Target spin offs from RPI, Bennington College, Southern VT College, HVCC,
Williams College. Develop "shared spaces" for entrepenuers and remote workers
14 Seek CFA funding for downtown improvement
NY Main Street (OCR) - Mixed-use building renovations, identify target area,
building inventory is required as part of this applicaiton
7 Support the re-use of victorian residences as B&B's and/or Air B&B's
7 Support development of new housing products in urban core Support mixed-use buildings along the River Street corridor

Create "trail" of important Grandma Moses landmarks. In addition to (or in lieu of)
signage, consider incorporating an app like Aurasma to tell the story. Partner with
the Bennington Museum. Consider a "Sugaring Off" event in the winter.

9 Support and Grow the Barn Quilt Project
The Barn Quilt project connects Hoosick to communities across the country.
Promote the project in the area, inviting Hoosick residents and visitors to visit
properties with the quilts. Engage with other participating communities across the
country through social media.

Invite En Plein Air artist to interperate nature and history of the
community

Seek Funding via DOS LWRP (McLaughlin Hoosic River now Inland
Waterway) to continue momentum of Greenway Project
Community planning process, dedicated to waterfront property. Guide for
development and infrastructure improvements, guide developmnent along
waterways, and helps leverage funding opportuniteis for projects.

a clear plan and response for working with the business to meet their needs. For
Hoosick, most of this will involve connecting the business with the regional EDO's
(playing point guard).

Coordinate with partner communities, especially along corridors, exchange
information and coordinate assitance where applicable. Also coordinate with
regional EDO business visitation programs (IDA, County, etc.)

Once a year, organize a date where IDA and WIB visit largest employers to discuss
needs, offer assistance, discuss training programs, etc.
