The Home Access Programme aims to provide all students aged 5 to 19 access to computers and internet at home for educational purposes. It was launched in 2007 by the Minister of State for Schools and Learners. The programme seeks to narrow the digital divide by offering home access grants to lower-income families for compliant computer packages that include hardware, internet access, technical support, and safety features. The goals are to improve educational outcomes, parental engagement, and access to online services and opportunities for all students regardless of their financial means.
