What was the European Jewish population prior to World War II?

Differentiate among Concentration Camps, ghettos, Einsatzgruppen, and extermination camps.
- Concentration Camps were prisons that detained the ones targeted
- Ghettos were places were streets that were enclosed to hold jews and others inside the area
- Einsatzgruppen were “mobile killing units” composed of ss and police personnel
- Extermination camps were camps where people were murdered, it was an efficient way of mass
murder
What was the purpose of death marches?
- To march between camps away from allied invasions
- So the allies would not free them in large numbers

Adolf Hitler’s “Final Solution” was a plan to exterminate all jews from europe. Overall
the plan would affect 11 millions people. This included people from unoccupied countries. This
plan killed over 10 million people.

The term originated in 1879 and it means hatred of jews.
When was the Nazi party founded? How did they gain popularity?
The Nazi party was founded in 1919, they gained popularity by disseminating anti-jewish
propaganda.

When were the Nuremberg laws implemented? In a paragraph, describe the Nuremberg laws
and the effects.
The Nuremberg laws were implemented in 1933. They were a series of laws that killed
and restricted many different aspects in the life of a Jew. The Nuremberg laws killed millions of
jews, and restricted their movements before the war and holocaust. These laws were the first step
of Hitler’s “Final Solution” to “cleanse” the human race.
